Best College Basketball Player Props on Thursday, March 28

Happy Thursday, everyone. March Madness is BACK on the slate tonight! After a three-day lull that felt like an eternity, there are four games tonight and tomorrow night, bringing us head-first into the action.

We could just watch these games for our amusement, but we thought we’d make it a bit more fun! We have put together our four favorite player props from the slate, one for each game. Let’s take a deeper dive into these plays that can be found on Underdog!

Chase Hunter OVER 14.5 Points

Coming into March Madness, it seemed like PJ Hall was going to be Clemson’s best player. While Hall has played well to this point, it was Chase Hunter who excelled in their dominant win over New Mexico, scoring 21 points.

After seeing that performance, we were a bit surprised to see his point total line at 14.5. Arizona might be a tough matchup, but with Hunter’s game last week, we like his chances of having another great game tonight.

Darrion Trammell OVER 8 Points

Similarly to Chase Hunter’s line, we were shocked to see how low Darrion Trammell’s points line was for tonight’s action. Not only did Trammell have 18 points against BYU, but his teammate, Jaedon LeDee, has scored 26+ points in his last two Tournament games.

With that in mind, we’re confident that UConn will focus more on LeDee, giving Trammell more opportunities to score tonight. We project him to score closer to 12-14 points tonight, which is why we’re definitely taking his over at the 8-point line here.

Mark Sears OVER 26.5 Points and Rebounds

Mark Sears is having quite the Tournament. He has put Alabama on his back to this point, and while UNC is a tough matchup for any team, we’re taking Sears’ over in this spot.

He had 12 rebounds and 26 points against Grand Canyon last week, a good sign that he doesn’t conform to the pressure of March Madness. We don’t necessarily expect him to have 12 boards again, but even if he has six or seven, he should have no problem hitting the over on his PR line.

Tamin Lipsey OVER 12.5 Points

We might be going out on a limb here by taking all overs, but this is March, baby! We liked what we saw out of Tamin Lipsey last week, and with Iowa State trying to make it to the Elite Eight, who better to help take then there than Lipsey?
