3 NBA Player Props for Tuesday, April 23

We sure hope you were watching the NBA playoffs last night! After a few days that were filled with blowout wins, last night’s three-game slate was a doozy. All of these matchups were decided by less than 10 points, making for an entertaining night of basketball.

If you followed our player props last night on Underdog, you’d know that it wasn’t the best night. We went 1-2 on picks, as Franz Wagner failed to get much traction, and LeBron hit the over on his point total by .5. Oh well! That’s just the way it goes. We did have a great read on Josh Hart, who smashed the over on his point total.

However, we’re not going to dwell on last night, as tonight is a new night, and we’re ready to sweep the board! Here are our three favorite Underdog player props from tonight’s action.

Anthony EdwardsOver 27.5 Points
Anthony EdwardsUnder 27.5 Points

Anthony Edwards OVER 25.5 Points

For us, it’s Anthony Edwards, no matter what, at least in this playoff series against the Phoenix Suns. Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves failed to gain traction against the Suns during the regular season, but that didn’t seem to bother them in Game 1 of the playoffs.

Edwards dropped 33 after a few viral exchanges with Kevin Durant, a sign of how well-respected Edwards is across the league at this point. We’re going to keep riding the hot hand until it gets cold, which is why we’re taking the over on Edwards’ points, especially since the line is only set at 25.5.

Pat ConnaughtonOver 6.5 Points
Pat ConnaughtonUnder 6.5 Points

Pat Connaughton OVER 5 Points

We decided to go with a less obvious play in this one, taking the over on Pat Connaughton’s point total. Connaughton isn’t one of the Milwaukee Bucks’ star players, but he can certainly score when called upon, especially in a rout, which we are expecting tonight.

The Indiana Pacers seemed to be outmatched against the Bucks in Game 1, and as a result, several of the Bucks’ bench players saw some playing time. Look for that to happen again tonight, giving Connaughton ample time to score at least six points.

PlayerPropPrice
Kyrie IrvingOver 24.5 Points
Kyrie IrvingUnder 25.5 Points

Kyrie Irving OVER 25.5 Points

We’re going with the over on three different point totals for tonight’s action. We could get cute with rebound or assist numbers, but in our mind, going back to the basics might not be a bad thing.

Kyrie Irving put up 31 against the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 1, a sign that he still has plenty of gas left in the tank. The Dallas Mavericks didn’t look themselves against the Clippers last game, and we think they’ll get back on track in a big way tonight.

We wouldn’t be surprised if Irving led the team in points in this game, which is why we’re taking the over on his points.
