After splitting a pair of games on Friday, we're ready to get back in the winner's circle. The Mariners got the better of the Angels in a wild and wacky game that went in our favor. Unfortunately, the Reds blew a big lead to the Nationals to keep us from a nice night.

Best Bet: Twins (-156)
The Twins are finally distancing themselves from the Guardians in the AL Central. Minnesota just swept Arizona and has won 5 of their last 6 games. They should be able to rack up another win with their ace Pablo Lopez on the hill.

The Tigers haven't had much luck of late, as they've only won 3 of their last 10. They'll send Joey Wentz to the mound, and he's really struggled as a starter this season. The young lefty is just 2-9 with a 6.37 ERA. The Twins should take this one easily.
Best Bet: Blue Jays (-124)
I don't usually like to bet on teams that don't have the starting pitcher edge. However, I'm willing to break that rule just to get the opportunity to fade the Guardians. Cleveland is in a massive tailspin, and they're about to lose Jose Ramirez to a suspension after his brawl with Tim Anderson.
Cleveland is just 1-5 over their last 6 games and they're really going to regret trading away Josh Bell at the deadline. Toronto, on the other hand, just swept a very good Boston team and they've won 7 of 10. Though we don't know how well Hyun Jin Ryu will pitch, we do like the edges that Toronto should enjoy on offense and with its bullpen.
Ryu is coming off Tommy John surgery and he got roughed up in his first outing of the season. However, Cleveland has been abysmal against lefties and they're only averaging 1.5 runs per 9 against them over their last 10. Give me the hotter team with the much better offense.
Best Bet: Cubs (+107)
I've had a belief that oddsmakers don't fully take into account the current form of MLB teams before making the lines. That belief rings true in this case. The Cubbies have been the hottest team in baseball, as they've won 15 of their last 19 games.
Meanwhile, the Metamucils just gutted most of their pitching staff and have lost 6 in a row. This team looks like they're more worried about their postseason vacations than playing solid baseball. Sure, the Mets will have the better starter going in Kodai Senga, but they still shouldn't be the favorite in this game.
The Cubs offense has been insanely good of late. Cody Bellinger was named the Player of the Month for July and he's carried that over into August. Dansby Swanson is also swinging a hot bat. Give me the better lineup with the team that's in much better current form.
