2 MLB PrizePicks Props for Monday, August 7

Ready to build up your bankroll before the NFL regular season starts? One of the best ways to do that is by finding value on each day's MLB card. You don't even have to like baseball to make money on it.

If you're in need of a solid DFS app, we highly recommend PrizePicks. It's one of the best apps out there for daily fantasy sports. Here are 2 MLB PrizePicks Props for Monday, August 7. Let's rock and roll!

Ranger Suarez UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts

I enjoy watching Suarez pitch but he's definitely not a strikeout guy. The 27-year-old lefty has 5 decent pitches, but none of them are overpowering. His fastball and curveball both have very little movement, which keeps his strikeout rate pretty low.

For the season, Suarez is only striking out 20.8% of hitters, which puts him in the 35th percentile. His whiff rate is even worse, as it's only in the 25th percentile. Suarez is also facing a Washington team that just swept the Cincinnati Reds.

The Nats are swinging the bats well lately, so this could be a tough outing for Suarez. Even if he pitches well, he may not rack up a lot of strikeouts. Suarez pitched 7 innings against Washington back on June 4th, but he only struck out 3 hitters.

Washington is one of the best teams in baseball at putting the ball in play. They have 5 hitters with a K-rate under 20.4%. This line should be 3.5 instead of 4.5, so we'll ride the Under.

Pablo Lopez OVER 7 Strikeouts

All sportsbooks have this prop at 7.5, which makes us think there's some value on the Over with Lopez in this spot against the Tigers. The 27-year-old righty has a good fastball and a pretty nasty slider. His K-rate is also at 29.9%, which ranks in the 88th percentile!

Speaking of Lopez's fastball, it averages 95 mph. While that may not sound too impressive, keep in mind that Lopez is 6-foot 4 and his extension ranks in the 97th percentile. That means that although the radar gun reads 95 mph, it looks more like 100mph.

Lopez carved up this Detroit lineup pretty well back on June 24th by mowing down 10 Tigers. Lopez's career K-rate of 37.1% against the Tigers is also an encouraging sign for the Over.

Detroit has more than a few hitters that strike out quite often. Six of their hitters have a K-rate above 23.7%. Lopez should be pretty dominant tonight, so we'll take the Over! Good luck with all of your plays on the diamond tonight!
