Top NBA Player Prop Picks for Friday, March 8

Ready to start your weekend off on the right foot in the Association? We've scored the board to bring you the top NBA player prop picks for Friday, March 8. Check them out below!

To end your week off strong, look for Zion Williamson to continue his scoring success against a depleted 76ers team, while Josh Giddey might have some trouble scoring the ball against a top-tier Miami defense that is rounding into playoff form.

F Zion Williamson (NOP) OVER 21.5 PTS

With some blowout potential in this game with Maxey and Embiid both out for Philadelphia, Zion Williamson is in a great spot to get back on track scoring wise. Facing opposing wings in Buddy Hield, Tobias Harris, and Kelly Oubre among others, his physicality should be too much for Philly to handle early on without much of a paint presence defensively.

Zion has had extreme success against Philly in four games since 2021. He’s averaging 33 PPG and 8.5 boards in those four games which rank as the most PPG+RPG against a single team. Safe to say the “Philly killer” should strike again tonight.

G Josh Giddey (OKC) UNDER 10.5 PTS

The Miami Heat simply don’t give up easy buckets on backdoor cuts or floaters. This will be the recipe to shut down Josh Giddey tonight, who has been performing well as of late for the hot Thunder.

Giddey scored 9 points in their last matchup in January and has struggled to score against teams with defensive schemes and statistics similar to Miami like Orlando and the Knicks who can switch nearly 1-5.

G Darius Garland (CLE) UNDER 31.5 PRA

As much as we love Darius Garland as a playmaker in this game, 32 PRA seems like a tall task against a Wolves team that allows the 2nd-least APG and least PPG in the league this season.

Outside of his outlier FIFTY-ONE-point game against Minnesota last season, DG has only hit this mark in one of six other games against the Wolves dating back to his rookie season.

He’s also struggled against Western Conference teams scoring just 13.9 PPG on 31.3% shooting from downtown this season. Let’s take Garland’s under in a low scoring affair tonight.

G Vince Williams Jr. (MEM) OVER 26.5 PRA

One player we are targeting to hit his PRA mark tonight is Memphis’s do-it-all guard Vince Williams. Williams scored just five points in his first matchup with Atlanta.

However, with the Hawks at the bottom of virtually every defensive statistic, look for this to be a fast-paced and high-scoring affair that bodes well for VWJ. Over the last two months, he’s averaged around 26 PRA, so this mark should hit against a Hawks team that sits bottom five in defensive scoring and assists allowed.
