NBA Play-In Tournament 4 Player Props for Wednesday, April 17

With yesterday’s exciting matchups behind us, the NBA playoffs continue Wednesday with two more play-in games to determine the final seeds in the Eastern Conference. The No. 8 Miami Heat travel north to face the No. 7 Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. while the No. 10 Atlanta Hawks head to the Midwest to face the No. 9 Chicago Bulls.

These teams have struggled mightily throughout the regular season. With their NBA playoff futures hanging in the balance, which players can fans – and bettors – count on to deliver in Wednesday’s play-in playoff games? We’ll cover our four best NBA player prop bets for tonight’s game.

PlayerPropPrice
Bam AdebayoOver 10.5 Rebounds
Bam AdebayoUnder 10.5 Rebounds

Miami Heat’s Bam Adebayo OVER 10.5 Rebounds

The Heat (46-36) picked up momentum heading into the playoffs, winning seven of their last 10 games to finish as the eighth seed. To achieve this, Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro exploded on the offensive end in recent games.

They’ve also relied on Bam Adebayo’s strong defensive presence and rebounding to carry the team. If his last four games were any indication, we’d advise bettors to take the under on this player rebounding prop bet.

However, Abebayo owns the rebounds when facing the 76ers this season, scooping up 13.0 per game against Philadelphia. Expect Adebayo to continue this torrid pace against the 76ers to cover his player prop bet.

Live player props data coming soon for DeMar DeRozan.

Chicago Bulls’ DeMar DeRozan UNDER 4.5 Rebounds

The Bulls (39-43) split their last 10 games of the regular season, a mark that prevented the team from making a serious run at a better playoff seed. Chicago has heavily relied on DeMar DeRozan this season again as the veteran forward leads the team in both points (24.0) and assists (5.3).

A stat category where DeRozan has not been a reliable contributor is rebounding. The 6’ 6” veteran is averaging 4.3 rebounds per contest. Against Atlanta, however, that statistic dips to just 2.3 rebounds per game.

Bettors should expect DeRozan to have a strong outing Wednesday night, but wagers for him to cover this player prop bet are throwing away money.

PlayerPropPrice
Tyrese MaxeyOver 3.5 Threes
Tyrese MaxeyUnder 3.5 Threes

Philadelphia 76ers’ Tyrese Maxey UNDER 2.5 3-Point Field Goals

The 76ers (47-35) clinched homecourt advantage for their Wednesday play-in game by winning the last five contests on their schedule. With center Joel Embiid back in the lineup, the 76ers are a dangerous team to face this time of year.

That’s especially true for opposing guards facing Philadelphia’s Tyrese Maxey now that Embiid is lurking near the rim. Maxey has had his worst shooting percentage behind the arc in April, hitting just 35.6% of his three-point shots in five games.

Against Miami, the 6’ 2” guard has hit just 28.2% of his long-distance takes. Expect Maxey to continue that slump against the Heat tonight to keep him from covering this player prop bet.

Live player props data coming soon for Trae Young.

Atlanta Hawks’ Trae Young UNDER 23.5 Points

Atlanta has limped into the postseason, losing six straight games and seven of their past nine. The Hawks (36-46) struggled with injuries this season and just recently activated Trae Young after the point guard missed the entire month of March.

Atlanta would need to pull off a monumental upset to continue their playoff run Wednesday in the United Center. Since returning to the lineup, Young has averaged just 15.0 points per game and has yet to score above 20 points in any outing.

Do not expect Young – whom oddsmakers have generously listed at the 23.5-point mark – to score above 21 points against the Bulls, a mark he has not reached in his two outings against Chicago this year.
