BetMGM & Borgata Introduce Dual Play Roulette to New Jersey

In a groundbreaking move, BetMGM, in partnership with Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa, has launched a new offering named Dual Play Roulette for their New Jersey clientele.

This innovative gaming experience, made possible through the collaboration with Evolution Gaming, a leading provider in the realm of remote live dealer table games, allows players to participate in the same roulette game both physically on the casino floor and virtually through online platforms.

The Powerhouses Behind the Innovation

MGM Resorts International, a global hospitality and entertainment company, manages the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, a leader in Atlantic City's casino industry.

The Borgata has consistently led the Atlantic City casino industry in annual gaming income for over a decade. This success is also mirrored in their online casino operations, which have outpaced competitors in New Jersey in recent years.

BetMGM, a leading sportsbook and iGaming brand is a product of a 50-50 partnership between MGM and Entain. This week, they announced the launch of their "Dual Play Roulette," a gaming experience that redefines the boundaries between traditional and online gaming.

A New Era of Gaming: Dual Play Roulette

The Dual Play Roulette table is prominently located on the Borgata's casino floor, making it impossible to miss. Multiple cameras are strategically positioned around the wheel and the felt, broadcasting the game to online players.

A small sign notifies in-person players that the game is also being played online, with the cameras focusing solely on the actual table.

BetMGM's director of online gaming, Oliver Bartlett shared his excitement about the new offering, stating that "Dual Play Roulette truly meets players where they are. This is a great example of online and land-based casinos leveraging technology to bring players a better omnichannel experience."

The Cinematic Gaming Experience

To ensure an immersive gaming experience, multiple high-definition cameras are installed around the Dual Play Roulette table.

These cameras allow online players to participate alongside players at the venue, effectively blurring the line between traditional gaming and iGaming.

The Competitive Landscape

Borgata continues to reign supreme among the nine casinos in Atlantic City, with a gross gaming revenue (GGR) of more than $724.4 million last year. The runner-up, Hard Rock, was a distant second at $492.3 million.

Online Gaming: A Growing Giant

With legal online casino gambling currently limited to just six states, the iGaming industry is still in its infancy.

However, despite the limited geographic reach, iGaming platforms generate significant revenue. New Jersey's online gaming revenue made up nearly a third of the state's total June revenue, generating $149.3m.

The Launch: A Momentous Collaboration

James Bruno, Borgata's Vice President of casino operations, expressed his enthusiasm about the launch.

He stated, "We are thrilled to unveil the revolutionary Dual Play Roulette on BetMGM and Borgata Online Casino, marking a meaningful collaboration between two industry leaders. We are incredibly proud to present this cutting-edge offering to our esteemed players in New Jersey. We invite players to immerse themselves in this gaming experience, where tradition meets technology, and excitement knows no limits."

A Look Ahead

With the launch of Dual Play Roulette, BetMGM and Borgata are setting new standards in the gaming industry.

This innovative gaming experience, which merges the realms of traditional and online gaming, is a testament to their commitment to leveraging technology to enhance the player experience.

Considering the success of Borgata and BetMGM in both their physical and online operations, it's exciting to imagine what future innovations they will bring to the gaming industry.
