3 Underdog Fantasy NFL Props for Thursday, August 10

We have NFL football tonight! I repeat we have NFL football tonight! Sure, it might just be a preseason game, but there’s a lot to be excited about if you’re an NFL fan.

The preseason is a sign that the regular season is almost here, a sigh of relief for those who are sick of watching baseball as their main form of sporting entertainment. Tonight, two games are taking place. The first game is between the Houston Texans and the New England Patriots, the second is between the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks.

We can’t just watch those games without something on the line, right? Let’s take a look at our favorite Underdog props for tonight’s games, hoping to strike gold in the preseason.

Tank Dell OVER 19.5 Receiving Yards

Fewer players have received Tank Dell levels of buzz throughout training camp this year. He’s been rumored to be a favorite of C.J. Stroud already, leading us to believe that he’ll be targeted a few times in tonight’s contest.

Stroud is expected to play for at least one series, and Texans fans will finally be able to see this dynamic duo in action. Many have questioned Dell’s size, wondering if he’ll be able to make it in the league.

While we can’t predict the future, we’re certainly rooting for Dell to succeed, which is why we love the over on 19.5 receiving yards tonight.

Pierre Strong OVER 40.5 Rushing/Receiving Yards

We’re not expecting the New England Patriots to pass the ball a ton tonight, especially given that it’s a preseason game. Mac Jones isn’t likely to see the field at all, and the Patriots are going to roll out Bailey Zappe and Trace McSorley to handle their passing work.

With that in mind, we’re expecting them to run the ball quite often, which will likely lead to a significant workload for Pierre Strong. Strong showed some flashes during the 2022 season but wasn’t able to gain a full-time role in the offense due to Rhamondre Stevenson’s brilliance.

Look for Strong to put together a solid performance tonight, proving to the coaching staff that he’s not only worthy of a roster spot, but a more sustained role in the offense as well.

Jalen Reagor OVER 1.5 Receptions

Jalen Reagor was famously taken one spot before Justin Jefferson in the 2020 NFL Draft. We all know how big of a mistake that was by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now, Reagor is on the Minnesota Vikings, teammates with Jefferson. He’s looking to try and stake his claim as the WR3 in this offense, hoping to uproot KJ Osborn in that role.

Tonight, we’re expecting him to take full advantage of this preseason opportunity, logging at least two receptions. If he wants to be more than just a punt/kick returner, tonight’s game is his chance.
