3 NBA Player Props for Wednesday, January 10

Ten games are on the NBA slate tonight and a couple of them will be nationally televised. The Pelicans will hit the highway to take on the Warriors at 8:30 PM EST on ABC. The Jazz will host the defending champion Nuggets at 10 PM EST on ESPN.

The NBA treated me rudely with an 0-3 golden sombrero in my return to the hardwood last night. I'm piping mad and ready to bounce back with 3 NBA player props for Wednesday, January 10. Good luck with all your Hump Day Hoops action.

Domantas Sabonis UNDER 23.5 Points (-115) (PointsBet)

You'd think I would learn my lesson about playing dominant players to go Under their respective point totals (lol). However, hear me out before you fade this play! Sabonis is a beast down low for the Kings, but he played 38 minutes last night against the Pistons.

You have to wonder just how many minutes Sacramento will need Sabonis to play tonight. After all, the Kings will be facing a Hornets team that just 8-26 so far this season. It's easy to see the Kings building a big lead and then resting a few key players like Sabonis.

Now, let's math this play up! Sabonis has scored 23 points or less in 25 of his 36 ball games this season. He's also stayed under this total in 4 of his last 6. Sure, I know it's scary fading a player that just put up 37 points the night before, but that's the best way to play this one.

DeMar DeRozan OVER 19.5 Points (-114) (BetRivers)

DeRozan has been in a bit of a slump lately, which is why I think we're getting some good value on this Over. The former USC star gets a favorable matchup tonight against the Rockets. Houston has improved greatly this season, but they're still just 3-11 on the road.

Houston plays hard on the defensive end, but I just don't see them keeping DeRozan under wraps for 4 quarters tonight. Zach Lavine is dealing with shoulder and foot soreness, and if he can't play in this one, DeRozan will be the main offensive weapon for the Bulls.

DeRozan has a median point total of 21 this season. He's also scored 20 or more points in 7 of his last 10 ball games. The 34-year-old veteran has also scored 27 and 31 points the last 2 times he's faced off against Houston. Let's ride the Over!

John Collins OVER 5.5 Rebounds (-120) (BetMGM)

Collins has fit in just fine in Utah after coming over from Atlanta in a trade. The 26-year-old power forward is 3rd on the team in rebounds per game (7.7) and 4th on the team in scoring (14.0). It may be tough getting rebounds away from Nikola Jokic, but Denver ranks just 14th in rebounds per game as a team.

Utah, on the other hand, ranks 2nd in rebounds per game and 3rd in offensive rebounds per game. Collins has pulled down 6 or more boards in 21 of his 34 outings this season. His median rebounding number is also an impressive 8.5, which is 3 more than this current prop line.

Oh, and the last time Collins played against the Nuggets on October 30th he was able to grab 9 rebounds. Let's play the Over to hopefully close out a much better NBA card this evening.
