Thunder at Mavericks (Game 6) : 3 Player Props for Saturday, May 18

Another day, another NBA playoff game in a 3-2 series. The Dallas Mavericks are taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder at home in an exciting matchup.

The Mavericks seem to be firing on all cylinders and are one win away from making it to the Western Conference Finals. Will they close things out in Game 6? Or, will the Thunder catch fire again and force a Game 7? Let’s dive into our favorite Underdog player props to try and predict who will make the biggest impact in this game.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 31.5 Points

If the Thunder are going to win this game, they’ll need a big performance from SGA to have a chance. He’s been one of the best players in the NBA all season and is averaging nearly 32 PPG in the series.

We’re hoping that the stars are out in full force, which is why we’re taking SGA’s point total in this elimination game.

Luka Doncic OVER .5 Triple Doubles (1.75x on Underdog!)

This is a similar analysis to that of SGA above, but if Luka Doncic has a massive game, the Mavericks are nearly impossible to stop. Doncic was a triple-double monster during the regular season, something he hasn’t quite replicated all throughout the playoffs.

However, he has racked up a triple-double in each of his past two games, and we think he has one more in him to help close out the series. With Underdog giving us a 1.75x boost on this line, there’s no reason not to give this one a sprinkle!

Daniel Gafford UNDER 9.5 Points

By predicting Doncic to have a triple-double tonight, we’re also projecting Daniel Gafford to have an off game, at least as it pertains to scoring. Gafford has been inconsistent at best throughout the playoffs, a mostly unreliable scoring option for the Mavericks.

There are several other players on the team that have a higher scoring upside, which means that in a crucial game, the Mavericks aren’t going to turn to him. Look for Gafford to have closer to six points in this one, hitting the under on the total.
