3 NBA Player Props for Thursday May 9

Happy Thursday, everyone! If you trailed our three picks on Tuesday, you’ll know that we hit two of them, falling just short of the over on Luka Doncic’s assist total. We’ve taken a good hard look at tonight’s slate, and after seeing how the games have gone down thus far, we like our odds of sweeping the board.

There are two games on the slate this evening, the first is between the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the second is between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Dallas Mavericks. With that in mind, let’s get into our favorite player props from the action, all of which can be found on Underdog.

Live player props data coming soon for Jayson Tatum.

Jayson Tatum UNDER 27.5 Points

We took this exact play in Game 1, and we’re running it back tonight. The Celtics just haven’t needed Tatum to provide any heroics to this point in the playoffs, and we don’t anticipate a high-scoring affair from him in this one, either.

The Cavaliers looked outmatched and outplayed by the Celtics in Game 1, and unless they turn things around quickly, this could be a 4-0 sweep. Look for some of the other Celtics players to put up numbers tonight, but not Tatum.

Live player props data coming soon for Evan Mobley.

Evan Mobley OVER 10.5 Rebounds

If the Cavaliers are going to win tonight, they’ll need a great game out of Evan Mobley, particularly on the glass. Mobley can take over a game with his massive rebounding efforts.

If he hits the over on this line tonight, it likely means that the Cavaliers will be in a good position to potentially beat the Celtics. Let's jump on the Over!

Luka DoncicYes Triple Double
Luka DoncicNo Triple Double

Luka Doncic OVER .5 Triple-Doubles (1.75X Boost!)

Luka had a sub-optimal performance in Game 1 compared to his typical performances. He has been one of the best players in the league all season and received the second-most votes for league MVP.

With that in mind, we fully expect him to take over in this game, securing a triple double. Similarly to our analysis of Mobley, if Doncic has a big game, it should be enough to keep the Mavericks in it, potentially stealing Game 2 from the red-hot Thunder.
