3 MLB Best Bets for Friday, August 25

After a 1-2 evening, we're angry and ready to get back to winning! Things just didn't go our way in the Rays game yesterday. Tampa Bay blew a 2-run lead to burn our F5 wager.

The total also came up half a run short of going over. Thankfully, the Orioles took down the Jays to spare us the golden sombrero.

Let's get right today! Here are 3 MLB Best Bets for Friday, August 25. Best of luck this weekend! Enjoy the baseball and the college football.

Best Bet: Orioles -1.5 (+105)

So let me get this straight. They're going to give us plus money with arguably the best team in American League against one of the worst teams in the National League. I'll take that bet every time, even on the run line.

This Baltimore lineup is flat out scary. Adley Rutschman, Anthony Santander, Cedric Mullins, and Gunnar Henderson are a tough bunch to get out. Santander hit his third homer in 2 days last night and Mullins also went deep against Toronto.

Cole Orvin doesn't have impressive yearly numbers, but he's been lights out over his last 5 starts. The lefty is 5-0 with an ERA of only 0.80 during that span. On the other hand, Colorado's Kyle Freeland is one of the worst starters in the league.

Give me the better lineup with the better starting picture and the better bullpen. Let's go Orioles!

Best Bet: Phillies (-140)

Christopher Sanchez is not a household name, but I think he's a pretty good lefty that knows how to get hitters out. He's 3 -2 over his last five starts with an ERA of just 2.40. I think he should do just fine against his Cardinals lineup.

Miles Mikolas just hasn't been that good for St louis this year. He's given up 13 earned runs over his last three starts, and seven of those came to the Mets of all people. This Phillies lineup should tee off on him.

Speaking of this Phillies lineup, they've been hotter than a $2 pistol. Bryce Harper finally looks like himself and is hitting bombs left and right. Also, don't forget about Trea Turner and Nick Castellanos. Let's lay this reasonable price with the Phillies.

Best Bet: Brewers (-108)

Milwaukee has been on fire, so I really don't understand this price. The Brew Crew just swept the Rangers in what was an impressive series for them. The Beer Makers have shown why they are the team to beat in the crazy NL Central.

Milwaukee will start Brandon Woodruff and I like his stuff quite a bit. He's done really well against the San Diego roster, as his expected batting average allowed is only point .198. Woodruff's strike out rate is also 28.3 percent, and his walk rate is only 5.7 percent.

Yu Darvish still pitches pretty well for an older guy, but he's really inconsistent. As hot as this Milwaukee lineup is, I think they can do some damage against Darvish tonight at home.

The Brewers lineup doesn't knock your socks off but Christian Yelich, William Contreras, and Carlos Santana all have some serious power. Let's play Milwaukee!
