The NBA playoffs are off and running, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how things are shaping up so far. There are a lot of new contenders in this year’s playoff field, which should hopefully provide a unique champion, someone who either hasn’t won the NBA Finals or a team that hasn’t won for a long time.
In order to get to the Finals, teams have to make it through the first round. Luckily for NBA fans, there are three games tipping off tonight. All three series are at 2-0, with the top seeds all prevailing to this point. Will any of the lower seeds win tonight, making the series a bit more interesting? We’re about to find out.

Donovan Mitchell UNDER 25.5 Points
We don’t know about anyone else, but Donovan Mitchell isn’t very trustworthy, especially in this series against the Orlando Magic. Sure, he put up 30 points in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Game 1 win, but he followed that up with a 23-point performance in Game 2.
Ultimately, he is a wild card in this series, but given his track record in big games, and the fact that the Cavs are up two games in the series, we’re projecting him to take his foot off the gas.
Considering we believe that Mitchell will have a slower scoring output tonight, we’re taking the under on his point total in this spot.

Joel Embiid OVER 47.5 Points, Rebounds, & Assists
While we might be fading one star in the playoffs tonight, we’d be silly to go against Joel Embiid at home. Embiid has torn it up in the Philadelphia 76ers’ first two games against the New York Knicks, doing everything possible to put the team on his back.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Knicks try to defend Embiid tonight, as they have had no answers for him in the first two games. With their lack of solid defense against Embiid in mind, we like his chances of having another big game against the Knicks tonight.

D’Angelo Russell UNDER 17.5 Points
This is a high line for D-Lo, who has been unimpressive in his scoring efforts all season. He did put up 23 in the Lakers’ last game against the Denver Nuggets, but we can’t rely on him to do that again, especially since he scored only 13 in Game 1.
We expect this to be a LeBron James and Anthony Davis game since they’re at home, leaving Russell and his teammates with limited opportunities to score down the stretch.
