Crazy Bets and Bad Beats from NFL Week 9

Happy Monday, sports betting family! Y'all already know what time it is! It's time to go over a crazy bet and a bad beat from NFL Week 9.

For those new to our Monday column, we like to highlight a huge win and a devastating loss from the prior week of NFL games. Our goal is to let the big winners revel in their glory just a little bit longer. Also, we want the bettors who were on the wrong side of the ledger to know that they're not alone.

Bad Beat: Gambler at DraftKings Goes Down with the Titans

Our bad beat of the week comes from Thursday Night Football's slugfest between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tennessee Titans. A bettor at DraftKings liked the Titans at the +3 price so much that they wagered a whopping $57,500 on them. The bet took some guts to place, especially since rookie QB Will Levis would be making his first road start for Tennessee.

Najee Harris got the scoring started with a 10-yard TD run early in the first quarter, which had to give our bettor at DraftKings some early evening heartburn. Tennessee answered 7 minutes later though with a 36-yard field goal by Nick Folk.

Derrick Henry put the Titans out front by 3 about halfway through the second quarter. The lead was short lived however, as Chris Boswell tied the game at 10 apiece just 5 minutes later. However, Tennessee took a 13-10 halftime lead on another 36-yard field goal from Folk just before the second quarter ended.

The second half was primarily dominated by defense. Boswell nailed another field goal for Pittsburgh to tie things back up at 13 all. Folk answered with another field goal for Tennessee just before time ran out in the third quarter.

With a 3 point lead, our friend at DraftKings probably thought they were sitting pretty. Unfortunately, Kenny Pickett and Diontae Johnson ruined things. Pickett hit Johnson in the corner of the end zone to put the Steelers up for good.

Levis and the Titans tried to put a last gasp drive together, but Kwon Alexander sealed the Bad Beat with an interception with six seconds left. What a bummer!

Crazy Bet: NFL Bettor at Caesars Backs the Bengals

Somebody at Caesars woke up extra happy this money thanks to a $200,000 win! A sports bettor with a large bankroll placed a $220K wager on Cincinnati -2 over Buffalo on Sunday Night Football. Geez, talk about ending your weekend in style!

It's no secret that Joe Burrow is finally healthy and the Bengals offense is starting to find its stride. Burrow proved this to be true by tossing 2 TDs in the first half against a tough Bills squad. He found Irv Smith from 7 yards out and hooked up with Drew Sample for a 22-yard strike.

The Bengals dominated the entire first half, on their way to a nice 21-7 lead at the break. Buffalo tried to make a game of it in the second half, but Cincy's defense got just enough stops to not make our crazy bettor sweat too much. The Bengals won by 6 and someone at Caesars walked away with 200 Gs! Nice call!
