Crazy Bets and Bad Beats from NFL Week 3

Hello football fans and welcome into another addition of Crazy Bets and Bad Beats! Each Monday morning I'll grab a cup of java and list of the most exhilarating wins and devastating losses from the prior NFL Sunday.

On a side note, is anyone else pulling for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift? I know I am! Anyways, here are the crazy bets and bad beats from NFL Week 3. If you need some action on Monday Night Football, check out our best bets and best props.

Sports Bettor at DraftKings Nails Arizona's Huge Upset Over Dallas

The entire football world is asking themselves, "What the heck happened to the Cowboys?" Dallas lost outright as 12.5-point favorites to the lowly Arizona Cardinals. However, one sharp bettor at DraftKings saw this coming!

This person was so confident that the Cards would cover the +12.5 points that they bet more than $253,000 on them. That wager took a ton of courage, especially since Arizona was 0-2 and had just blown a gigantic lead to the Giants in Week 2. Here's how it shook out.

Matt Prater got the scoring party started with a 39-yard field goal and six minutes later James Connor put the Cards up 9-0 in the first quarter. Brandon Aubrey got the Cowboys on the board late in the quarter with a 49-yard field goal of his own. However, Arizona went on to outscore Dallas 12-7 in the second quarter behind a Rondale Moore touchdown and 2 more field goals from Prater.

Arizona led 21-10 at the half, but most folks expected Dallas's offense to wake up. The Cardinals had other ideas, as their defense only gave up 6 points in the second half to win the game comfortably. Our crazy bettor at DraftKings woke up $241,000 richer this morning as a result!

Bad Beats: Survivor Contestants Devastated After 3 Huge Favorites Lose

Since I couldn't settle on a single bad-beat for Week 3, let's talk about the 3 teams that wiped out a ton of Circa Survivor contestants. Just how hard is this contest? Well, over 9,000 entries were placed before the season started. Only a little less than 2,500 entries are still alive!

Anytime the big favorites lose outright, it's going to wipe out a ton of entries. Week 3 was a massacre, thanks to the Jags, Ravens, and Cowboys. The majority of folks had Jacksonville (2,421), and they looked terrible against Houston. The Texans led 17-0 at the break and they never looked back en route to a 37-17 blowout. CJ Stroud lit up the Jags secondary for 280 yards and 2 touchdowns, which catapulted him into 2nd place behind Bijan Robinson for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Another team from the AFC South that wreaked havoc was the Indianapolis Colts, who were sizable underdogs on the road to the Baltimore Ravens. Lamar Jackson scored on an 8-yard touchdown run in the first and all 621 Ravens backers probably thought they'd get an easy win. However, the Colts kept battling and ended up winning in OT on a 53-yard field goal by Matt Gay.

We already mentioned the Cowboys, but their outright loss to the Cardinals knocked out a ton of people from Survivor as well. Dallas dominated the box score, but 13 penalties and a Dak Prescott interception really set the 'Boys back. At least we know that Stephen A. Smith was happy about it!
