De'Aaron Fox OVER 6.5 Assists
Fox is off to a fantastic start this season. The former Kentucky star is averaging 24.6 points, 5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game. We think Fox will have an excellent night as a facilitator against this Spurs defense.
San Antonio ranks 30th in assists per game allowed (27.7). Meanwhile, Sacramento's offense ranks 4th in the league with 28.2 assists per contest. There's no reason to think that Fox can't rack up at least 7 assists in tonight's game.
When we do a deep dive into the numbers, we see that Fox has only gone over this assists total in 6 of his 12 games this season. However, in 1 of those games, Fox only played 9 minutes, which must be taken into account.
Fox is also in excellent current form with his passing. He's gone Over this assists number in 4 straight games. There's a reason why 5 sportsbooks in the market are heavily favoring the Over on this. FanDuel, which is fairly sharp at posting player props because of its DFS background, prices this at -138.
Anfernee Simons OVER 26.5 Pts/Rebs/Asts
Simons is starting to hit his stride as a professional after coming into the league right out of high school in 2018. The 23-year-old is averaging career-highs in points, rebounds, assists, and steals. We think Simons fills up the stat sheet with ease against the Nets tonight.
So far this season, Simons has gone Over this PRA number in 9 of 12 games. That's pretty impressive, but you know what else is crazy? He's gone Over this PRA total in 7 straight contests! You can see why we like this Over so much.
When doing a market comparison, we see that both FanDuel and TwinSpires price this prop a full point higher at 27.5. That factor alone just screams VALUE to us! Betting on sports is a lot like picking stocks. We're looking for what's on sale!
Finally, Simons can shoot the rock from downtown. He's made (3) three-pointers or more in 9 of 12 games this season. That should work out well against a Brooklyn defense that sucks at defending the 3-ball. The Nets rank 28th in the league by allowing 3s at a 38.7% clip.
Brooklyn also ranks a slightly below-average 18th in defensive efficiency. Simons should eclipse this PRA amount with ease! Take the Over!
