Arizona Lottery Online

The Arizona lottery presents a thrilling opportunity to test your luck and potentially win life-changing prizes. From the comfort of your home, you can now strike it rich just right on the Arizona lottery online platform. In this article, we discuss how to boost your overall odds of winning amazing prizes.

History of the Arizona Lottery

Featuring one of the most vibrant state lotteries in the US, the state was among the earliest in the country to legalize lottery in 1980 following the passage of Proposition 200. Over time, the lottery introduced several games, including popular ones like Scratch-offs, The Pick, Mega Millions, Powerball, Fantasy 5, Triple Twist, and more. The prizes for these games range anywhere from $50,000 to several millions of dollars, with the highest being $1 billion.

The Arizona Lottery is a member of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL), which powers lottery playing across state lines and enables players nationwide to participate in the AZ Lottery.

Types of Arizona Lottery Multi-state Draw Games

Not all lottery games available for play in Arizona are offered directly by the Arizona State Lottery. Some games are available nationwide, and so to operate across state lines, the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) is in charge of organizing and managing them. They include:

Arguably America's most popular draw game, Powerball, involves choosing any five white numbers ranging from 1 to 69 and one red number from 1 to 26. You hit the jackpot if you successfully match all six numbers on your lottery ticket. If you match fewer numbers, you may also clinch other prizes.

The lottery ticket for Powerball costs $2, but you can add Power Play for an extra $1 to multiply your chances of winning non-jackpot prizes. Powerball drawings are held three times weekly, on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 pm ET.

The prizes available start from $4 to the jackpot, which starts at $20 million but has no maximum. You can buy lottery tickets for Powerball at any of the 3,000 AZ lottery retailers or directly from the state lottery app by Mido Lotto.

Mega Millions

Mega Millions at Arizona Lottery

Another wildly popular draw game, Mega Millions, is closely similar to Powerball as it involves selecting five numbers ranging from 1 to 70 and a single number from 1 to 25. The numbers are drawn at random, and the jackpot goes to anyone who matches all six numbers according to the draw. Mega Millions tickets cost $2 each, and Arizona lottery players can purchase multiple lottery tickets in groups of 5 or 10 packs.

The draw game tickets to play Mega Millions are available at lottery retailers and online via the Arizona state lottery website or the Mido Lotto app, where you can order for Mega Millions tickets to be securely delivered to your address.

A Mega Millions draw happens twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:59 pm, and you can follow live on WSB-TV.

The prize for the Mega Millions jackpot starts at $20 million and can run into billions; the largest prize won so far is $1.6 billion. If you get the 6 winning numbers correctly, you may also be eligible for other prize amounts, starting from $2.  Nonetheless, if you match less than six numbers, you can also claim winnings, with a top prize of $1 million available for matching five numbers.

While the above games are available nationwide and powered by the Multi-State Lottery Association, others are available only at the lottery in a few states or in Arizona. From fast-play games to traditional draws, AZ has it all. They include:

Fantasy 5

Fantasy 5 works by five numbers from 1 to 41 and winners clinch the jackpot when they match correctly the winning numbers randomly selected at the draw. The ticket price for Fantasy 5 costs $1 for each entry, but you can pay a further $1 or $2 to access the “EXTRA!” feature. Fantasy 5 game tickets are available at over 3,000 lottery retailers across Arizona and in a few other states.

Fantasy 5 drawings are held daily at 7 pm Arizona time at the AZ lottery headquarters in Phoenix. Thankfully, you can purchase lottery tickets up to 6:59 pm on the draw night. The jackpot starts at $50,000, although you can get lesser prizes for correctly matching fewer numbers than 5.

Pick 3

Pick 3 entails players selecting 1 or 2 sets of three numbers from 0 to 9. The tickets cost $1 for each play with a 6:59 pm deadline for purchase daily, with Arizona players standing to clinch prizes ranging from $20 to $500. The draw happens daily at 7:00 p.m. Arizona time at the Phoenix headquarters of the state lottery.

The Pick

When playing the Pick, Arizona players must choose six numbers from 1 to 44. These can be your own numbers, or you can use Quick Pick. The tickets cost $1 and are available at lottery retailers, where you can make purchases with cash or via licensed online platforms.

The draw happens every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday evening at the Phoenix state lottery headquarters, and you can claim winnings starting from $1 million.

Triple Twist

Introduced in 2018,  Triple Twist is only available in Arizona, and it involves choosing six numbers between 1 and 42. Triple Twist tickets are available for $2 and you can get them either at retailers or at Arizona retailers or online at the state lottery website. The Draw happens daily at  7:45 pm at the lottery headquarters in Phoenix.

The prizes for the jackpot start at $200,000 and continually increase until it is won.

Exclusively available in Arizona, Quickcard was designed as a way for players to play Powerball or Mega Millions without choosing their own numbers. Your Quickcard tickets come with a set of Quick Pick numbers on them, and these will be your numbers at the next drawing.

Quickcard tickets range between $4 and $10, which give you different amounts of Powerball or Mega Millions plays, with winnings of at least $20 million.

The game tickets are available at authorized dealers, with the Draw happening on every Wednesday and Saturday.

Instant Win Games

Also available only in Arizona, the game involves scratching off a panel to reveal a prize, with prizes ranging from a few dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

There are different types of "Instant Win Games," with tickets starting from $1, with a maximum of $50. Note that the higher the price of the tickets, the higher the prizes to expect. You can get these tickets at retailers that sell lottery tickets or at any Arizona lottery vending machine.
