MVP (1.5x Points) Travis Kelce ($14,000)

This might be a contrarian play because Kelce is not a quarterback. However, when looking at the rest of the players on the slate, we see Kelce as the player who has the most “boom” potential, even over the two quarterbacks.

Kelce’s rapport with Patrick Mahomes is something to admire, and his combination of red zone upside and reliability make him the perfect captain for the biggest game of the year.

Flexes: Marquez Valdes-Scantling ($8,000) Jerick McKinnon ($9,500) DeVonta Smith ($11,500) & Jalen Hurts ($17,000)

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, or MVS, has found a home in Kansas City. Although he was a seldom contributor as a member of the Packers, he has turned into a serious threat for Mahomes and the Chiefs.

MVS suffered a minor injury in the AFC Championship, but he should be good to go for the Super Bowl. This is great news for the Chiefs, considering the fact that MVS went off last week, amassing six receptions, 116 yards, and a touchdown, which resulted in 20.6 fantasy points. MVS is a boom or bust play, but on Super Bowl week, we must go big.

Jerick McKinnon, similarly to MVS, has resurrected his career in Kansas City. The Chiefs have made McKinnon into a massive part of their passing game, which has materialized into fantasy production as well.

In the last seven weeks, McKinnon has had two games with over 28 fantasy points, and he will have a great opportunity to torch the Eagles’ defense next weekend. The Eagles have a staunch defense that will be so focused on stopping Mahomes that they might give McKinnon the opportunity to break through for a few big plays.

Heading into this slate, we were shocked that DeVonta Smith’s salary for the week was so low. Smith has five games with over 100 yards this season, including a 169-yard game.

Smith has become a favorite target for Jalen Hurts, which was one of the main reasons that Hurts was an MVP candidate this season. If Smith breaks through for a few big plays, he could provide the greatest value of this entire slate.

Besides Travis Kelce, Jalen Hurts provides the greatest ceiling of any player on this slate. Hurts is a bonafide superstar, and he is a near-lock to have a rushing touchdown on any given Sunday.

We do like both Hurts and Mahomes to put up big numbers this week, but we’ll give Hurts the slight edge due to his rushing prowess.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout the football season! We will be back next year, so make sure to stay tuned.
