Friday night in Cowtown is shaping up as a track meet. The Anaheim Ducks (8-7-1) visit the Calgary Flames (7-8-1) at 8:00 PM ET at the Scotiabank Saddledome, and the matchup has all the ingredients a same game parlay crowd loves: the NHL’s hottest power play, a Calgary goalie who has been shaky, and a total sitting at 6.5.

Our three-leg play stacks Cutter Gauthier to score anytime, Leo Carlsson to record a point, and the game to go over 6.5 goals. Each leg feeds off the same storyline: a Ducks offense that keeps lighting the lamp against a Flames defense that has had trouble keeping the puck out.

Cutter Gauthier Anytime Goal Is the Headline Act

Gauthier is the engine of this parlay. He leads Anaheim with 11 goals and six assists, and he leads the entire league with nine power-play goals. In his last 10 games he has eight goals on 42 shots on goal, and he is averaging better than four shots a night on the season.

The matchup helps too. Calgary is expected to start Dustin Wolf, who is 3-4-1 with a 3.71 GAA and an .870 save percentage. The Flames rank 24th in goals against at 3.44 a game, and Gauthier’s volume of looks gives him plenty of chances to find a hole. Hard Rock Bet has his anytime goal at +120, and other books have posted prices as high as +155, so shop around before you lock it in.

Leo Carlsson Points Keeps the Ducks Engine Humming

Carlsson is the playmaker who makes the Ducks power play go. He has 24 points on five goals and 19 assists, and 15 of those assists have come on the power play. Anaheim’s man advantage is clicking at 38 percent, tops in the league, so any Flames penalty is an invitation for Carlsson to get on the scoresheet.

The price is steep, with Carlsson to record a point sitting around -175 at Hard Rock Bet and as short as -194 elsewhere. That is exactly why it works as a parlay leg: you get a high-probability piece to anchor a bet that otherwise leans on a goal prop. If you are new to stacking legs, our same game parlays guide breaks down how the pricing works.

Over 6.5 Goals Fits the Script

This game has a lot of goals in it. Anaheim ranks 30th in the league in goals against at 3.81 a game, and over its last 10 the team is scoring 3.9 goals while allowing 4.3. Calgary is 24th at 3.44 goals against, so neither side is shutting anyone down.

The road team also won both prior meetings between these clubs by a 4-2 score, which means six goals each time, one shy of the number. The over 6.5 is priced right around even money at most books, a fair price for a game with this much firepower and two goalies who have both leaked goals lately.

The Full Parlay

Put it together and you have a three-leg same game parlay with a simple story: Gauthier scores, Carlsson gets a point, and the teams combine for seven or more goals. The legs lean on each other. If Gauthier scores on the power play, Carlsson very likely picks up an assist, and both goals push the game toward the over.

Based on the prices above (Gauthier anytime goal +120, Carlsson to record a point -175, over 6.5 goals around +100), the combined payout should land somewhere north of +400, though sportsbooks adjust SGP pricing for correlated legs, so check your book for the final number. If you want a fourth leg, look at Matt Coronato (three goals, 11 assists) or Joel Farabee (five goals, 10 assists) to record a point on the Calgary side.
