WNBA Thursday Predictions: 2 Best Bets and Top Player Prop for June 26

Three WNBA teams around the .500 mark take the court on Thursday night. In the early window, Los Angeles tries to end their losing skid against Caitlin Clark and the Fever, who are looking to string together a few straight wins for the first time this season.

Elsewhere, the surprising Washington Mystics, led by their two rookies, travel to Vegas to take on the Aces in a game where the free-throw line will prove extremely important.

Fever -6 over Sparks

The Fever come into this matchup at exactly .500 on the year, with Caitlin Clark failing to score 20 or more points in three straight contests. That streak should come to a close tonight against a Sparks team that has lost by 11 or more points in each of their last four games while allowing 97 or more points in three of them.

The healthy Indiana offense should break out tonight against this Sparks defense, allowing over 87 PPG on the year while failing to turn opponents over. Clark, Mitchell, and Boston will prove too much, especially at home.

Mystics +8 over Aces

The Mystics are quietly tracking to make the postseason after picking up two ROY candidates early in this year’s draft. Iriafen and Citron are scoring a combined 25 PPG while truly playing two-way roles for this sleeper team in the East.

They travel to Vegas on Thursday night to face a Las Vegas Aces squad that hasn’t found consistency all year. Although they have won two games in a row, Vegas’s inability to score in chunks and in transition will hold them back tonight against a Washington team that plays with no fear.

Brittney Sykes (WAS) OVER 17.5 Points

Speaking of playing with zero fear, Sykes has deserved an All-Star shout thus far. She is Washington’s leading scorer at 19.6 PPG while shooting 42% from beyond the arc and 80% from the line.

Her 9.6 FTA per game leads the league, and as a small guard, she knows how to navigate her way into the lane, which has been a trouble for Las Vegas in the early parts of the season. Battling an injury, should Sykes suit up, this game will go down to the wire.
