WNBA Monday Predictions: 3 Best Bets for Valkyries vs. Sparks

The Valkyries upset the Las Vegas Aces 95-68 in WNBA action on Saturday night in front of an incredible Bay Area crowd. Can that momentum carry into Monday night’s date in Los Angeles against Kelsey Plum’s Sparks?

Both teams are looking to climb back to .500 or better on the year after some shaky starts, and for Golden State, their solid team defense should keep them in this ball game until the last few possessions.

The Golden State Valkyries are coming off their biggest victory in franchise history against the 2x champion Las Vegas Aces. Golden State had 24 assists to Vegas’s mere 11 en route to victory, holding A’ja Wilson to just 17 points.

After losing a few close games to Los Angeles, New York, and Phoenix, this team is here to compete and should shock many WNBA fans this year with their solid coaching staff and quite deep rotation that features some great young talent.

The Sparks’ inability to play consistent defense alongside the lack of scoring outside of Kelsey Plum should prove difficult in this early-season Western Conference matchup.
