NFL Odds for Conference Championship Round

Sadly, football fans have only three remaining games on the NFL’s slate to enjoy this season. While this weekend’s NFC and AFC Conference Championship games and Super Bowl LVIII (58) in two weeks’ time are the biggest games of the year, they also represent the last games fans will see for more than six months.

Bettors and fans alike wait for these big-time games each season. While fans look forward to seeing their teams compete in these games, bettors look to make significant profit off the teams and players they’ll watch this weekend.

What are the odds for the AFC and NFC Conference Championship games? We’ll reveal those below.

Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens (-4) Sunday 3 pm

For the sixth consecutive year, the Kansas City Chiefs (13-6) will play in the AFC Championship contest. Three times, the Chiefs have made the Super Bowl, winning two of those three games. For the first time, however, Kansas City will need to play on the road in the AFC Championship in order to advance.

Their opponent was the AFC’s top seed in 2023 in the Baltimore Ravens (14-4). Baltimore reeled off six wins to close out the season, dropping only a meaningless game in Week 18 to the Steelers after locking up the top seed. Led by MVP candidate QB Lamar Jackson, the Ravens’ offense led the league in rushing for the third time in the last six years.

The matchup also features the league’s top two scoring defenses as Baltimore (16.5 points allowed) and Kansas City (17.3 points allowed) yielded just under a combined 34 points during the regular season. With this in mind, the contest’s over/under total of 44.5 points favors bettors selecting the under Sunday.

Detroit Lions at San Francisco 49ers (-7.5) Sunday 6:30 pm

It’s been more than 30 years since the Detroit Lions (14-5) last played in the NFC Championship contest. This year’s squad has achieved a team-record for wins and reached the final four teams for only the second time in the NFL franchise’s history.

For the San Francisco 49ers (13-5), the franchise has reached the NFC Championship game four out of the last five seasons. San Francisco has only reached the Super Bowl in one of those previous four tries, a record 49ers’ fans hope to improve against Detroit.

The Lions and 49ers produced top five finishes offensively during the regular season as San Francisco (28.9 points per game) and Detroit (27.1 points per game) both pounced on their competition. Defensively, however, Detroit allowed over 23 points, giving bettors confidence that this game’s over/under total of 51.5 points will produce an over result.
