We’re just two weeks into the season, and already what we expected to be the case – for better or worse – has been the opposite. Dallas looked like world beaters against Cleveland, then turned around a laid an egg against the Saints in Week 2. Baltimore and Cincinnati are surprisingly 0-2 while Minnesota and Pittsburgh are 2-0.
With a landscape that appears to change week to week, what should fans expect in Week 3’s matchups? A sure-fire prediction is that this will be a fun one to watch. We’ve also got more of our “four sure” anytime NFL touchdown predictions, and as always, one strong underdog pick to help you fatten your wallet.
The blockbuster move this offseason involved the Baltimore Ravens signing Derrick Henry to a two-year deal. Adding this monster running back – Henry has 130 yards and two scores through two games thus far – should help Baltimore down the stretch.
The Dallas Cowboys allowed three rushing touchdowns last week to New Orleans, showing their defense is susceptible to giving up scores on the ground. Henry is the beneficiary of that this weekend as he’ll pick up his third score against Dallas.
Here’s a news flash for you: the Saints can score! Against Carolina and Dallas, New Orleans has scored a combined 91 points to lead the league in that department. With Philadelphia coming to town, the Saints will look to continue their march on them Sunday.
Wide receiver Chris Olave has been quiet this season – if you can call six receptions for 92 yards quiet. He’s caught all but two targets, and the third-year player has been over 1,000 yards each of his first two seasons in the league.
Expect him to find the endzone Sunday against the Eagles. Philly has given up four touchdowns to receivers to start the year, and neither the Falcons nor Packers have the weapons New Orleans possesses. New Orleans will score in bunches, and Olave gets his first TD this week.

Demarcus Robinson | Yes Anytime Touchdown Scorer |
The Los Angeles Rams are hurting at the wide receiver position with both Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp out this week and for potentially several more games. The team will turn to Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson, and Tutu Atwell to fill those starting voids this week.
Of the three players, Robinson appears the safest bet to garner his first touchdown this season. The Rams will try to target the 49ers’ weakened secondary, and the 6-foot-1 receiver is the third-leading receiver this season as he possesses the second-most targets on the team.
Broncos quarterback Bo Nix hasn’t had the start to the season he may have dreamed of as a kid. Through two games, he’s completed 59.7 percent of his passes for 384 yards and four interceptions. On the ground, he’s ran nine times for 60 yards.
Tampa Bay’s defensive front has been strong, but their secondary is perhaps its strength this season. That’s going to frustrate Nix, and force the mobile quarterback to run down the field to pick up first downs.
Nix has already scored once on the ground – the season opener against Seattle – and has two runs over 13 yards on the books already this season. Expect him to score his second NFL touchdown this weekend against the Buccaneers after the team has already allowed two TDs to quarterbacks this season.
