2 PrizePicks Daytime MLB Props for Wednesday, April 12

We enjoyed a nice 2-0 evening with our MLB player props on Monday. We cashed both of our strikeouts props with Logan Webb and Domingo German. That brought us back to .500, as we're now 6-6 on the young season.

The Tampa Bay Rays continue to be the talk of the baseball world. They're now 11-0 and will look to keep that streak going against the Boston Red Sox tonight on ESPN Plus. If you're an MLB fan, you may want to consider an ESPN Plus subscription for its excellent bonus coverage.

Lucas Giolito UNDER 5.5 Strikeouts

Giolito is one of those guys that's hard to figure out. He's got excellent stuff, but he goes through phases where he struggles with his control. Giolito's 2023 campaign hasn't gone well so far, as he's got a 9.00 ERA and a WHIP of 2.0.

If Giolito keeps walking hitters as he has been, this Twins lineup could make him pay this afternoon. Guys like Carlos Correa and Byron Buxton haven't fared well against Giolito in their careers, but they're always a threat to go deep. I'd be really surprised if Giolito makes it more than 5 innings today, which would be great for our Under ticket.

Last season, Giolito averaged 5.9 strikeouts per start. However, this Minnesota team only ranks 14th in strikeouts, which is right around the middle of the pack. FanDuel is juicing this Under at -146, so we'll follow their lead!

Francisco Lindor UNDER 0.5 Runs

Here's another Under that we like for this afternoon. Lindor is a supremely talented hitter, but he's been in a slump to start 2023. He's only hitting .225 so far this season, and I don't see him breaking out against Blake Snell.

Snell hasn't started off well this year either, but he's dominated Lindor in his major league career. Lindor is only hitting .120 against Snell through 25 career at-bats. That means Lindor's chances of scoring a run today should be minute.

Snell's ERA of 7.88 is a bit of a concern. However, the young lefty has struck out 11 hitters in only 8 innings pitched this season. That tells us that Snell's stuff is still good, and he needs to settle down.

Caesars is pricing this Under at -146 and BetMGM has it at -135. That's a good sign that the Under is the way to go.
