One game on the MLB board tonight, and it happens to be the biggest one of the year. The Milwaukee Brewers lead the World Series 3-0 and head to Tropicana Field for Game 4 with a chance to sweep the Tampa Bay Rays and hang their first championship banner. First pitch is 8:00 PM ET, and the Brewers are roughly -139 on the moneyline with the Rays at +115 and a total of 7.
With a single game, the prop board is where the fun lives. We went hunting for the three best bets on it, mixing bats from both dugouts: one steady, one lottery ticket and one sneaky value play. Here is the menu for tonight’s feast.
William Contreras Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-102)
If there is a World Series MVP ballot, William Contreras has his name written on it in permanent marker. The Brewers catcher is 18-for-43 (.419) in the postseason with three home runs and a double across 11 games, plus eight RBI and six runs scored. In Game 3 he went 3-for-5, drove in a run and scored one himself, which is exactly how you cash this prop.
The trend is loud. Contreras has cleared 1.5 hits plus runs plus RBIs in four straight games, five of his last six and seven of his last nine. He also owns a career 2-for-3 mark against Rays starter Griffin Jax, who has not exactly been a lockdown arm this October. At basically even money (-102), you are getting a coin-flip price on a guy who has treated this line like a suggestion.
Milwaukee has not named a Game 4 starter and is expected to go with a bullpen game, but the Brewers lineup has been grinding out contact all series. Contreras sits in the middle of it, which means plenty of chances to pile up a hit, a run or an RBI.
Junior Caminero Over 0.5 Home Runs (+410)
Every menu needs a little spice, and this is the ghost pepper. Junior Caminero, the Rays third baseman who wears No. 13, smashed 42 home runs in the regular season and homered in roughly 22.5 percent of his games. That is a real, repeatable power rate, and it does not disappear because the calendar says October.
The price tells the story. FanDuel has Caminero at +410 to leave the yard, and other books are listing him in the same neighborhood, so shop around before you click. Tampa Bay is facing elimination, and when the Rays need a spark, a 23-year-old with 42 homers on his resume is the guy most likely to provide a lightning bolt. He already launched a no-doubt blast in the ALCS clincher, so we know the postseason has not scared him.
The Brewers bullpen has been excellent, allowing two runs in 13 innings in this series. That is why this is a long shot and not a lock. But one swing changes the whole game, and plus-money on a 42-homer bat is a swing we are happy to take. Treat it as a small-stakes fun bet and compare lines at the player prop search page before you place it.
Christian Yelich Over 0.5 RBIs (+200 to +266)
Here is the value pick. Christian Yelich, Milwaukee’s designated hitter, drove in two runs in Game 3 as part of the Brewers’ record-setting eight-run fifth inning, all of it with two outs. When this lineup gets going, runs come in bunches, and Yelich bats in a spot where he sees plenty of traffic on the bases.
The prop is priced like he is a long shot to drive in a run, and the market is wide. Covers shows prices ranging from about +200 to +266 depending on the book, so this is a pure line-shopping play. Even the low end of that range is generous for a veteran bat in a lineup that has scored in bunches all postseason. If Milwaukee faces a short-leash Griffin Jax and then a tired Tampa Bay relief corps, there will be runners to bring home.
Yelich has had stretches this postseason where the RBI chances dried up, which is why the price is fat. But a prop that pays two to two and a half times your stake is a tidy bit of value on a hitter in the middle of a lineup this hot.
Lock These In Before First Pitch
That is the whole spread: a steady hitter on a heater, a power bat with a puncher’s chance and a plus-money RBI play. Odds move quickly on a night like this, so always confirm the number at your book, and if you are new to props, our guide to how betting odds work breaks down what those plus and minus numbers mean for your payout.
- William Contreras OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-102)
- Junior Caminero OVER 0.5 Home Runs (about +410, check your book)
- Christian Yelich OVER 0.5 RBIs (about +200 to +266, shop the line)
Milwaukee is one win from a sweep and Tampa Bay is fighting for its season, which is a recipe for fireworks. Bet responsibly, enjoy the show and may your props cash before the middle innings.
