The Week 3 schedule kicks off with a Thursday night AFC East showdown, featuring the Miami Dolphins (0-2) taking on the Buffalo Bills (2-0) in Highmark Stadium.
Miami has not looked like a team that can dethrone the five-time AFC East winners thus far. The Dolphins fell 33-8 to the Indianapolis Colts, and the New England Patriots earned a narrow road win over Miami last week.
Buffalo, meanwhile, looks like a Super Bowl contender after its first two outings. The Bills had a comeback for the ages against the Ravens in their season opener, and Buffalo throttled the New York Jets 30-10 in last week’s matchup.
Can Miami keep up with Buffalo in this primetime matchup? We’ll cover that and provide bettors with our three favorite player prop bets for Thursday’s game.
| Player | Prop | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Josh Allen | Yes Anytime Touchdown Scorer |
Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen To Record Anytime TD (-155)
MVP candidate Josh Allen is off to a strong start. He’s completed over 66 percent of his passes for 542 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. On the ground, he’s racked up 89 more yards and two touchdowns off 20 carries. For his career, he’s now scored 67 rushing touchdowns in 113 games, but he’s scored on 29 runs since the start of the 2023 season.
Miami has yielded multiple rushing touchdowns to quarterbacks through two games. Indy’s Daniel Jones notched two rushing touchdowns while the Patriots’ Drake Maye added another last week. Expect Allen to make it three straight games in which a quarterback scores a rushing touchdown on the Dolphins.
Miami Dolphins RB De’Von Achane UNDER 56.5 Rushing Yards
The Dolphins’ offensive struggles have kept running back De’Von Achane from getting off to a strong start this season. The third-year runner has just 18 carries for 85 yards because Miami has played from behind so much this season. He has caught 11 passes for 112 yards, showing his versatility out of the backfield.
After Baltimore ran all over Buffalo during the season opener, the Bills held the Jets to only 100 rushing yards. New York’s running backs were limited to 40 yards and 12 carries, showing that Achane faces an uphill battle. He’s one broken tackle away from achieving this minimal amount, but savvy bettors will take the under on this player prop wager.
| Player | Prop | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Dalton Kincaid | Over 43.5 Reception Yards | |
| Dalton Kincaid | Under 44.5 Reception Yards |
Buffalo Bills TE Dalton Kincaid OVER 28.5 Receiving Yards
Despite passing for 542 yards through two games, Allen does not have a dominant receiver garnering oversized attention. He’s targeted four players at least 10 times during his initial two contests, showing he has multiple weapons to work with in 2025.
His most consistent target is tight end Dalton Kincaid. He’s hauled in four receptions in each game thus far, notching 85 receiving yards and a touchdown. Those stats rank third among the Bills’ receiving corps.
In four career games against Miami, Kincaid has failed to record fewer than four receptions. The Dolphins have held him to under 28 yards only once. Take him to cover his receiving prop totals on Thursday.

Best Bet: Buffalo (-12.5)
The Dolphins’ offense did come alive last week against the Patriots, scoring 27 points thanks to Tua Tagovailoa’s arm. The quarterback threw for 315 yards and two touchdowns to catapult the Miami offense.
Can he repeat that against Buffalo? It’s highly unlikely. The Bills have won by three touchdowns in two of the past three outings against Miami. Expect Buffalo to jump out in front of the Dolphins and not look back, covering their 12.5-point spread.
