Week 2 provides bettors with a primetime NFL doubleheader. The nightcap features an AFC West rivalry being renewed when the Los Angeles Chargers head to Las Vegas to meet the Raiders.
The Chargers had arguably the biggest Week 1 victory, defeating another AFC West rival. Los Angeles looked strong in its 27-21 takedown of the Kansas City Chiefs, knocking off the three-time Super Bowl champions.
Las Vegas started the Pete Carroll era with a 20-13 win over the New England Patriots. Veteran quarterback Geno Smith looked sharp in Chip Kelley’s offense, throwing for 362 yards and a touchdown for the Raiders.
The winner of this game will have an edge in the AFC West standings heading into October. Will it be Los Angeles or Las Vegas holding all the cards in this pivotal divisional matchup? We’ll cover that and provide you with three player prop bets for this Monday Night Football showdown.
| Player | Prop | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Justin Herbert | Over 203.5 Pass Yards | |
| Justin Herbert | Under 207.5 Pass Yards |
Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert UNDER 260.5 Passing Yards
In his sixth season, Los Angeles quarterback Justin Herbert is primed for another big season. He began the 2025 campaign by completing 73.5 percent of his passes for 318 yards and three touchdowns, proving he’s an elite signal-caller.
I’m certain bettors are making a case for Herbert to have a big night against the Raiders. Last week, the Patriots’ Drake Maye finished with 287 yards in a 30-for-46 performance, throwing a touchdown against Las Vegas.
Savvy bettors will take the under on this player prop bet, however. In three of the past four matchups against Las Vegas, Herbert has finished under his player prop total. In the second game of this Monday Night doubleheader, he’ll again fail to cover his passing prop mark.
| Player | Prop | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Brock Bowers | Over 72.5 Reception Yards | |
| Brock Bowers | Under 76.5 Reception Yards |
Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers OVER 51.5 Receiving Yards
The Raiders have a special talent in tight end Brock Bowers. Last year, the then-rookie finished with 1,194 receiving yards on 112 receptions, notching five touchdowns during his NFL debut. His first game this year was another reminder of why he’s a future All-Pro player as he caught five passes for 103 yards against the Patriots.
All last week, the tight end has been listed as questionable. Bettors and fantasy owners received good news when he participated in his team’s final practice session. Expect him to take the field tonight against the Chargers, and he’ll cover this player prop bet.
| Player | Prop | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Omarion Hampton | Over 35.5 Rush Yards | |
| Omarion Hampton | Under 37.5 Rush Yards |
Los Angeles Chargers RB Omarion Hampton OVER 56.5 Rushing Yards
Draft analysts were high on Omarion Hampton after his final season with UNC. Still, the rookie running back struggled in his first NFL outing, finishing with 48 yards on 15 carries against the Chiefs.
The Patriots mustered just 60 rushing yards on 18 attempts, giving bettors pause in taking Hampton to cover his rushing prop bet. Monday night is a better matchup as the Raiders cannot load the box against the Chargers. Expect him to break through the defensive line multiple times for long runs, allowing him to cover this bet.
| Sunday, November 8 at 4:05 PM | Spread | Money | Total |

Best Bet: Las Vegas (+3.5)
Los Angeles appears to be the class of the AFC West after their season-opening performance. The Chargers limited Kansas City’s rushing attack, forcing Patrick Mahomes to try and beat them with his arm.
While it would normally be a safe bet for the Raiders’ pass-happy offense to do the same, Kelley is an offensive mastermind who is back in his element. Expect him to cook up some confusing plays that are tailored to Smith’s talent, and the Raiders will either pull off the upset or lose by less than the 3.5-point spread.
