To say that the 2025 NFL season has been odd would be an understatement. There are so many surprising teams on both sides of the aisle, with some playing much better than anyone thought heading into the year, and others are underperforming.
A perfect example of this was during Thursday Night Football this week, as the Buffalo Bills were six-point favorites over the Houston Texans, but the Texans prevailed in the end. Will the rest of Week 12 yield such surprising results? We’ll soon see.
We’ve put our favorite player props together for many games from the slate, including the Sunday Night Football battle between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams, who are seven-point favorites. Let’s get into our top picks from this one, hoping it lives up to the hype of being a high-scoring game given the over/under of 49.5.
Matthew Stafford OVER 256.5 Passing Yards
Matthew Stafford has been dealing this season. He’s seventh in the league in passing yards, second in touchdown passes, and has only thrown two picks. Stafford hasn’t lost a step, and he’s more than capable of putting up big numbers in what we’re projecting to be a shootout.
Kyren Williams limits his ceiling, given that he’s an efficient back, but Stafford still has a chance to throw for 300+ every game. Don’t overthink taking the over in this spot with all of this in mind.
Baker Mayfield OVER 236.5 Passing Yards
After a dominant and somewhat surprising 2024 season, Baker Mayfield has taken a slight step back in 2025. His numbers aren’t quite what Buccaneers fans got used to last season, as he’s been less consistent with his boom games.
However, we think he’s due for a massive passing performance in this game, especially if Stafford plays as well as we’re hoping. Mayfield only has four games of 242+ yards on the season, but with shootout potential and the fact that this game is in primetime, we like his chances.
Emeka Egbuka OVER 5.5 Receptions
Emeka Egbuka has quickly turned into Mayfield’s favorite target, as he’s been one of the most dominant rookie receivers in recent seasons. Egbuka’s reception totals have been lacking lately, but we’re going to chalk that up to the Buccaneers’ offense not firing on all cylinders, and not anything to do with Egbuka’s play.
Mayfield should throw the ball a lot in this game, and Egbuka will likely be a recipient of many of those targets. Look for him to have at least six catches by the end of the third quarter, if not sooner, making for a sweat-free cash.
