Happy Thursday, baseball fans! The All-Star Game is just over a week away, and teams are making one final push to get themselves in a great standing ahead of the break. We are excited to tune into tonight’s action ahead of a long Fourth of July weekend, and took a long, hard look at what the sportsbooks had to offer us from a massive slate.
There are some great games, but we honed in on Game 4 of a four-game series between the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays, hoping to pick some winners and sweep the board. This has been a high-scoring series thus far, so we’re looking forward to another potential offensive barrage.
Can the Yankees squeak out a win in the series’ final game? Or will the Blue Jays pull it out and sweep the Bronx Bombers? Let’s find out together!
Sometimes, you just have to play the hits, which is exactly what we’re doing with Aaron Judge tonight. He has been outstanding against the Blue Jays throughout the series and is coming off a monster performance yesterday, where he had three hits, two runs, and three RBI.
His power is off the charts again this season, as he is second in homers behind Cal Raleigh, and we’re expecting big things from him as the Yankees try to win their first game since Sunday.
You like Jazz? Chisholm, that is. We don’t, at least not tonight in his matchup with Toronto’s Chris Bassitt. Chisholm isn’t having his best season, batting just .240 with 14 home runs, and we just aren’t confident in his ability to put up big numbers consistently.
He does have upside if he hits a home run, of course, but it’s a crapshoot when a batter will go yard on a given night. With his inconsistency in mind, we’re fading his HRR total tonight.
Speaking of Bassitt, we think he’s going to have a great evening on the bump, minimally seeing the entire Yankees lineup twice. This team will likely get after him eventually, but if Bassitt gets going early, the Yankees could see a lot of strikeouts in the early innings.
Seeing that they have the fourth-highest strikeout rate of any team in the league, we’re confident in him hitting the over on this K line tonight.
