Rays vs Guardians ALCS Game 4 Same Game Parlay: A Comeback Longshot Worth Cheering For

Our Rays vs Guardians ALCS Game 4 same game parlay mixes a Rays comeback, a Chandler Simpson hit, a Junior Caminero home run longshot, and the over.

One game. One night. A Rays team that is down 2-1 in the ALCS and needs a win to keep the series from slipping away. Tampa Bay visits Cleveland on Saturday night for a rescheduled Game 4 (8:00 p.m. ET at Progressive Field), after Friday’s rainout, and we are building a same game parlay that leans into the fun: a Rays comeback, a speedster, and one big swing from a slugger.

The four-leg build is Rays moneyline, Chandler Simpson to record a hit, Junior Caminero to hit a home run, and Over 6.5 total runs. The numbers below are rough and move quickly, so check your book for the live price on each leg and the combined payout before you lock anything in.

Leg 1: Rays Moneyline Gets the Comeback Started

The Rays are slight road favorites despite trailing the series. Most books have Tampa Bay somewhere between -110 and -116, with Cleveland sitting right around -102 to -106, so this is close to a coin flip with a small tilt toward the visitors. Cleveland won Game 3 by a 3-2 score behind a go-ahead two-run homer from Petey Halpin, and the Guardians now lead the series 2-1.

The reason to side with Tampa Bay is the pitching setup. Nick Martinez, who went 15-6 with a 3.10 ERA in the regular season, gets the ball for the Rays. The Guardians counter with Shawn Armstrong as an opener, carrying a 0.00 ERA this postseason, followed by a bullpen game. Armstrong will get his outs early, but then Cleveland has to stitch together a lot of innings against a lineup that won 98 games.

Leg 2: Chandler Simpson Gets On Base

Chandler Simpson is the most entertaining player on the field. The Rays left fielder, who wears number 14, hit .306 this season with 46 stolen bases, and he was the only source of Tampa Bay offense in Game 3, when his two-out, two-run triple off Gavin Williams accounted for both Rays runs. Every Rays hit that night went for extra bases.

We are keeping this leg simple with a hit prop because a speedster who reaches base can change a game by himself. Simpson is 3-for-15 this postseason, so it is not a lock, but a one-hit line is a far friendlier ask than a stolen base or a triple. Against a bullpen game, he should see plenty of different arms, and any single is a chance to run. If you want extra spice, compare your player prop search options for a stolen base alternative.

Leg 3: Junior Caminero Goes Yard

This is the longshot that makes the parlay worth the ticket. Junior Caminero hit 42 home runs in the regular season and finished with a .276 average and 101 RBI, but he has not gone deep yet this postseason (0 HR in 21 at-bats). He was 0-for-4 with four strikeouts in Game 3, which is part of why the home run price is attractive.

Home run odds for Caminero have been posted in the +485 to +630 range depending on the book, and the Kalshi market had him at about 14 cents. The Guardians planning a bullpen game opens the door for a power hitter who sees a different pitcher every time up. A slugger due for a big swing is the exact kind of leg that turns a safe-looking parlay into a ticket worth cheering for.

Leg 4: Over 6.5 Total Runs

The total is 6.5 at most books, with prices ranging from -108 to -120 on the over depending on where you shop. That is a number that looks low when one team is using an opener and then a parade of relievers. Even with wind blowing in and temperatures in the low 50s, a bullpen game gives hitters more looks, and the Rays are not going to be shy about pinch-hitting their way through the later innings.

The over also lines up well with the other legs. If Caminero connects and Simpson gets on and moves, the game is already on the way to the over. If you are new to stacking bets like these, our same game parlays guide covers how correlated legs work.

The Full Parlay

Put it together and you have Rays moneyline, Chandler Simpson 1+ hit, Junior Caminero to hit a home run, and Over 6.5 total runs. The Caminero leg carries most of the price, so the combined payout should land well into longshot territory. Because all four legs lean on the same script, with Tampa Bay scoring in bunches against Cleveland’s patchwork pitching, your sportsbook may price them as correlated, so confirm the final number before you place it. Check your book for exact odds on every leg.

It is a fun, small-stakes ticket for a must-watch night of October baseball, not a lock. Keep the stake modest, pull up the MLB odds to shop each leg, and enjoy the ride. Gamble responsibly, and if you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call 1-800-GAMBLER.
