Welcome back MLB fans! We have early day games today and I have found a few spots I really like. Our members had a great day on the diamond yesterday and I hope to reproduce that today!
We have a handful of starting pitcher targets going today, so make sure to check out my other picks, link in X bio! Now let’s get into today’s best bet! Best of luck with all of your action, and let’s put Wednesday in the win column!

Can Brown Cool Off the Hot Athletics Bats?
Hunter Brown continues to stay hot, as he was involved in one of our last article plays. Over his last 11 games he has hit 18 outs in every start. He finds himself on the road in Oakland, where he has hit 18 outs 6 straight games and has fared very well vs this Oakland squad.
Against Oakland he has hit 18 outs in 3 of 4 starts since 2022. The one he missed, he could have easily gone 18. They pulled him at 78 pitches after 5 innings, allowing 0 earned runs, 0 hits, and 7 strikeouts. Since May 21, the start of Brown’s hot streak, he owns a 2.15 ERA and .207 average against.
The Athletics won’t be easy, over the last 15 days they rank 3rd in wRC+ and OB% vs RHP, while walking at the 9th highest rate. To add to that, the last 5 right-handed starting pitchers at Oakland have allowed 5,4,3,7, and 6 runs, so he has his work cut out for him.
Castillo Is a K Machine at Home
Luis Castilo has an incredible home/away split! This man does not travel well, but when he is back home, he settles in and can sit guys down. Over his last 30 starts at home, Castillo has cashed 5+ Ks in 27 of those 30 games for a 90% hit rate.
At home this season Castillo has hit 5+ Ks in 9 of 11, only missing vs teams that do not have high K rates in Kansas City and Minnesota. 6 of those 11 home games Castillo went over 7 strikeouts, while hitting 8+ three times!
Castillo has owned this Angels lineup, cashing 5+ Ks in all 7 games, landing on 5 only once! For the season, the Angels strikeout at the 15th highest rate, but over the last 15 days they strikeout the 8th highest vs RHP. To add to their troubles, they have 6 hitters with K rates above 20%, 5 of them over 23%, while Castillo holds a 9.2 K/9 rate at Home this season!
My Best Bet:
2-Leg Parlay (+101) DraftKings
Hunter Brown (Hou) o17.5 Outs
Luis Castillo (Sea) 5+ Ks
