Happy Tuesday! We hope you enjoyed the Sports Equinox yesterday; it was quite the evening for sports.
Game 3 of the World Series was controlled by the Los Angeles Dodgers from the jump, as they got out to an early lead and never looked back. Is it over for the New York Yankees? Or can they pull out a win tonight to force a Game 5?
As we wait to see what scenario plays out, we’ve put together our favorite player props from the action tonight, which can all be found on Underdog. We went 2 for 3 in Game 3, so let’s turn the tides and sweep the board in Game 4!
We’re taking the over on Gil’s hits allowed solely based on how the Dodgers are playing. This is a team on a mission, and they’re determined to mow down any pitcher that the Yankees put in front of them.
It feels like the Dodgers are going to sweep this series, so we expect them to lay the hammer down early and let Gil know who’s boss. He did pitch well against the Cleveland Guardians, but he allowed 4+ hits in each of his prior four starts.
With that in mind, we’re fading Gil tonight, believing he’s going to allow at least four hits.
Is there a hotter player on the Dodgers than Freddie Freeman right now? Freeman has been a surprising hero of the World Series thus far, hitting a home run in each game of the series.
While we’re not going to bet that he’ll hit a homerun today, we will certainly ride the wave and take the over on .5 RBIs. He should help the Dodgers finish off the series, and think he’ll achieve at least one RBI in this game.
We took the over on this line in Game 3 and were certainly disappointed. Jazz Chisholm has been consistent for the Yankees all series, but for whatever reason, he was stifled by the Dodgers yesterday.
While some might like to fade him after watching his performance last night, we’re not straying away from Jazz, which is why we’re going to take the over on this .5 total base line.
He had at least one hit in the three prior games, and he should get back on track tonight, achieving at least one hit again!
