It’s Sports Equinox Day! That’s right, if you’re a sports fan, you have an exciting night ahead of you. This is a rare day, as the NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA all have games going on. The MLS also has some playoff games going down, making it a five-sport affair.
While we’re excited about the festivities, we’re going to focus on the MLB tonight, as the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees are facing off in Game 3 of the World Series. This is a pivotal game for the Yankees, who are in danger of going down 3-0 in the series. The Dodgers could be without Shohei Ohtani, leaving several question marks for this game.
We’re going to stay away from Ohtani when talking about player props, but Underdog has plenty of lines for the other players in this matchup. Let’s get into our favorites from the action!

Walker Buehler OVER 4 Strikeouts
Walker Buehler is an interesting pitcher heading into tonight’s game. He’s only pitched two games thus far in the playoffs, going 1-1 in his two outings. Some might try to stray away from him after only seeing two games, but we’re confidently going after his K total tonight.
Underdog only has this line set at four K’s tonight, a line that he should hit by the end of the third inning. We project the Yankees to be a bit nervous tonight at home, especially with so much on the line.
Look for Buehler to mow down at least four batters tonight, getting after the Yankees in the first few innings.

Clarke Schmidt UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts
We’re projecting this matchup to start with a pitcher’s duel between Buehler and Clarke Schmidt. Like Buehler, Schmidt only has pitched in two playoff games this year, achieving two and four strikeouts in those games.
Schmidt is much more of a ground ball pitcher than a strikeout guy, and we anticipate him to force more groundouts than strikeouts. With that said, we’re taking the under on his line in this spot, believing he’ll stay true to what he’s done in the past.

Jazz Chisholm OVER 0.5 Bases
You like Jazz? Chisholm, that is. Jazz Chisholm has been pretty consistent for the Yankees throughout the playoffs, getting a hit in four of his past five games.
He doesn’t necessarily present as a power threat, but he is reliable when it comes to getting on base and setting up the power hitters behind him for success. Look for Chisholm to record at least one hit today, going over this line of .5 bases.
