Best MLB Props of the Board for July 10

Shohei Ohtani, Spencer Torkelson, and Manny Machado headline the juiciest MLB props on the board for Friday night.

Forget picking a lane tonight — we’re grabbing the three juiciest props on the entire MLB slate, no matter what kind of bet they are. Strikeouts, dingers, whatever. If the number looks soft and the player is heating up, it’s making the list.

Here’s the best of the board for Friday, and there’s a little something for everyone. Need a quick refresher on how these bets actually work? Check out our MLB Betting Guide before you dive in.

Shohei Ohtani to Homer vs. Diamondbacks

Some props you bet because the math says so. Some you bet because it’s Shohei Ohtani and he might just decide to hit a baseball into orbit. This is both. Ohtani’s home run prop has been sitting in the +200 to +210 range in recent matchups, which is real value on a guy capable of a 55-homer season. He’s an every-night threat, and the Diamondbacks pitching staff has had its share of homer-prone nights this year.

Even if the ball doesn’t leave the yard, Ohtani’s total bases number (1.5) has carried plus-money over odds too, meaning there are multiple ways for this bet to cash. When the best player in baseball is priced at plus-money to do the thing he’s best at, that’s a prop worth a few bucks.

Spencer Torkelson to Go Deep vs. Phillies

Torkelson has quietly turned into one of the hotter bats in Detroit’s lineup, going deep in back-to-back games recently and sitting on two homers and six RBI over his last week of action. He’s not a household name outside Motown, but the underlying stroke has been legit — four homers in a recent nine-game stretch and a track record of 31-homer seasons when things click.

Facing a Phillies pitching staff on the road, Torkelson’s power surge lines up as a sneaky home run play with plus-money value across most books. This is exactly the kind of under-the-radar prop that pays off big when nobody else is watching.

Manny Machado Total Bases Over 1.5 vs. Blue Jays

Manny Machado has had a rough go of it by his own standards this year, slashing well below his career norms — but there’s a version of this prop that still makes sense. With 18 home runs already banked and a track record of erupting for extra-base hits in bunches, Machado remains one of the more dangerous total-bases bets in the league whenever he’s fully healthy and in the lineup.

He was given a rare veteran’s rest day earlier this week after fouling a ball off his foot, and X-rays came back clean — so expect him back in the middle of San Diego’s order and looking to make an impact against Toronto. When a former MVP candidate is priced like an afterthought, that’s the kind of number worth grabbing before the market catches up.

Today’s Best of the Board

Three completely different types of bets, three completely different vibes — but all three have real juice behind them. Ohtani for the highlight-reel upside, Torkelson for the sneaky value play nobody’s talking about, and Machado for the bounce-back total-bases number.

  • Shohei Ohtani TO HIT A HOME RUN (check your book for current odds)
  • Spencer Torkelson TO HIT A HOME RUN (check your book for current odds)
  • Manny Machado OVER 1.5 Total Bases (check your book for current odds)

Grab your favorite of the three, throw a couple bucks on all of them, or build them into a parlay for a bigger payday — either way, this is where the fun money should be going tonight.
