3 MLB Player Props for Monday, July 8

We are just a few days away from the All-Star Break, a time of year when most players get to sit back and relax, while the All-Stars need to travel to Texas for what is expected to be a balmy week next week. Fortunately for them, the Rangers’ stadium is air-conditioned, otherwise fans might have been in for a sweaty adventure.

While the All-Star Game might be on many players’ minds, there are still a few games before the break. Teams are looking to build momentum this week, and we’re excited to see what they have up their sleeves. With that in mind, let’s take a look at our favorite player props from today’s action, all can be found on Underdog.

Live player props data coming soon for Elly De La Cruz.

Elly De La Cruz OVER 1.5 Total Bases

Elly De La Cruz was recently named the Cincinnati Reds’ lone All-Star this year. He has been a force to be reckoned with all season long and is one of the most electric players in the league.

De La Cruz tends to strike out a lot, but in at-bats that he doesn’t, he tends to get hits, and extra-base hits at that. He has been held hitless in his last two outings, but we expect him to get back on track today, which is why we’re taking the over on his total bases line against the measly Colorado Rockies.

Live player props data coming soon for Brooks Lee.

Brooks Lee OVER 1.5 Hits, Runs & RBI

If you’re not a fan of the Minnesota Twins, you might not know who Brooks Lee is. He was called up on July 3rd and immediately made an impact on the Twins’ lineup.

He started his MLB career with a two-hit day, also adding an RBI. Lee has logged at least two combined hits, runs, and RBI in each of his first five games in the Show, and we don’t expect his momentum to slow tonight, especially considering the Twins are taking on the Chicago White Sox.

Live player props data coming soon for Chris Sale.

Chris Sale OVER 7 Strikeouts

Seven strikeouts seems like a huge line, and we can understand if you’re more comfortable taking the under. However, Chris Sale has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this year, if not the best.

He continues to assert his dominance against opposing teams and has logged at least seven Ks in his last five outings. We’re riding with the hot hand against the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight, will you?
