3 MLB Player Props for Tuesday, August 20

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Can you believe it’s August 20th already? The summer is flying by, which means football season is right around the corner, and the MLB season is heating up.

While we have a decent idea of who this year’s postseason teams will be, anything can happen in the last month of the season. With that in mind, we’re excited for today’s slate of games, as all 30 teams will be in action throughout the afternoon and evening.

We’ve put together our favorite Underdog props from the slate, so let’s get into it!

Live player props data coming soon for Jackson Holliday.

Jackson Holliday OVER .5 Total Bases

Jackson Holliday was one of the most exciting prospects in baseball heading into the 2024 season. It was unclear what kind of impact he would have on the Baltimore Orioles this year, but his subpar performance when he was first called up left something to be desired.

Thankfully, the Orioles gave him a second chance, and they’re likely pretty happy with their decision. Holliday has turned it on over the past few weeks, providing a spark to this already-hot lineup.

He hasn’t gotten a hit in his last two games, but we don’t expect that cold streak to continue. Look for Holliday to have at least one hit tonight, going over this total with ease.

Live player props data coming soon for Mitch Keller.

Mitch Keller OVER 5.5 Hits Allowed

Mitch Keller has struggled lately. He gave up eight hits to the San Diego Padres on August 14th, and seven hits to the Los Angeles Dodgers on August 9th.

Today, he runs into the Texas Rangers, a team that has been surging over the past few days. The Rangers are hoping to make a late-season push to make the playoffs, and at this point, every game counts.

We believe they’ll go after Mitch Keller early tonight, and with his poor performance in his last two starts at the top of mind, he should give up at least six hits before getting knocked out of the game.

Bobby Witt Jr OVER 1.5 Total Bases

Bobby Witt Jr. is good at baseball. We knew the kid was going to be decent after his first few years in the league, but nobody predicted this meteoric rise to success.

In a lot of ways, Witt has put the Kansas City Royals on his back and is a major reason the team is in a position to make the playoffs. He continues to stay hot, leading the MLB in batting average.

Tyler Anderson isn’t exactly a scary pitcher for the Royals to face, so we love Witt’s chances of achieving at least two bases tonight.
