3 MLB Player Props for Monday, September 30

Happy Monday to all! The MLB playoffs are slated to begin tomorrow, but there’s still a lot to be decided. While the American League field and schedule are already set, the National League is still up in the air.

The New York Mets and Atlanta Braves will face off in a two-game doubleheader today to not only decide their respective fates but also the fate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. If the Mets or Braves win both games, that team and the Diamondbacks make it into the playoffs.

If the Braves and Mets split this doubleheader, they both make it into the playoffs, hanging the Diamondbacks out to dry. This is absolute cinema for sports fans, and we couldn’t be more excited to see how both games turn out!

With these two games in mind, we’ve taken a close look at Underdog’s board of player props, hoping to find great value in Game 1. Both teams are motivated to put their best foot forward in the opening matchup, hoping to get one win out of the way.

We’ve decided to focus on players who can rise to the occasion and play well under pressure. Let’s get into it!

Live player props data coming soon for Tylor Megill.

Tylor Megill UNDER 5.5 Hits Allowed

Tylor Megill has been a great pitcher for the Mets all season, so it’s no surprise that he’s on the bump in such an important game. He’s won his last five starts, including games against the Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Red Sox.

In those five games, Megill hasn’t allowed a team more than five hits, a trend we expect to continue this afternoon. Megill should make it to at least the sixth inning in this one, and while the Braves might connect in a few instances, we don’t believe they’ll get to him that much. Take the under here with confidence!

Live player props data coming soon for Michael Harris II.

Michael Harris OVER 1.5 Hits, Runs & RBI

Michael Harris has sneakily been one of the best hitters for the Braves this year. He wasn’t necessarily one of their big names coming into the year, but he’s certainly earned his spot on the roster.

Harris continues to play well in difficult spots, torching the Mets last week with a three-hit, two-run, and two-RBI performance. We don’t need him to be Superman to hit his HRR line today, but we’re pretty confident that he will do enough to achieve it, even against Megil.

Francisco Lindor OVER 1.5 Total Bases

Francisco Lindor is one of the best players in the MLB when healthy and in the right headspace.
He is a tough out against any pitcher, and in a game that means so much to the Mets, you know he’s going to come through and deliver a legendary performance.

Lindor only needs two bases to cash his over today, a line he’s hit in four of his last five games. It’s tough for us to root against good players, so here’s hoping Lindor has another great game!
