Happy July 1st, everyone! We can’t believe it’s July already, this summer is seemingly flying by too quickly. With the start of July in mind, the MLB All-Star Game is less than two weeks away, a turning point in the season. The All-Star Game gives players time to rest and relax, gearing up for the second half of the year.
While the ASG is nearly here, teams still need to finish strong and head into the break with confidence. That push starts with today’s three-game slate, which we’ve taken a good look at, and selected our favorite player props from each of them at Underdog Fantasy. Let’s get into it!
This line simply seems too low for Hunter Brown. Brown has been on a tear for the Houston Astros lately, winning his last four starts. He has been a catalyst for change and excitement for a team lacking both qualities during the first few months of the season.
With that in mind, we’re riding with Brown’s momentum, which he’s picked up recently. He has struck out at least six batters in his six outings, and we’re certainly not betting against him today, even against a pesky Toronto Blue Jays lineup.
David Peterson is somewhat of an unknown commodity for the New York Mets. He has only pitched in five games for them this season, but he has won his past four starts. One of those was a quality start against the Washington Nationals, who he happens to be facing off against today.
With the Mets’ offense waking up and Peterson pitching well, there is reason to believe he’ll at least make it through the sixth inning today, hitting the over on his pitching outs line.
When we saw this line, we immediately had to include it in this article. Bryse Wilson and the Milwaukee Brewers are taking on the Colorado Rockies tonight, one of the worst teams in the league.
Wilson hasn’t necessarily lit the world on fire this year, but he’s certainly done enough for us to take the over on his strikeout line. The Rockies aren’t a great offensive team, and we’re confident in Wilson to achieve at least five K’s.
