3 MLB Hits Props to Back Today: Chourio, Turang, and a Sneaky Rays Platoon Play

From a Brewers phenom in the NLCS to a Rays outfielder with a platoon edge, here are the three best hits props on today’s MLB slate.

The MLB postseason slate is stacked with contact-heavy hitters in spots that scream “easy money,” and we scoured the board for the three best hits props regardless of position, team, or price tag. This is the fun part of prop betting — mixing a superstar, an unlikely power threat, and a platoon specialist into one card because the numbers all point the same direction: over.

From a 25-homer Brewers phenom stepping into the batter’s box in the NLCS to a Rays outfielder who turns into a different hitter against lefties, here are three hits props worth attacking today.

Jackson Chourio Keeps Doing Jackson Chourio Things

Jackson Chourio (MIL, #11, LF) is priced at a hefty Over -208 on 0.5 hits, and honestly, the number should probably be even steeper. Milwaukee’s 22-year-old centerpiece is hitting .291/.351/.487 on the season with 25 home runs and 152 hits, and he’s been even better than that line suggests once October arrived.

Chourio has recorded a hit in roughly three out of every four games he’s played this year, and that trend has carried straight into the playoffs — he’s tallied at least one knock in eight of his last nine games dating back to late September, including three hits across the NLDS against San Diego. He draws Yoshinobu Yamamoto today, a legitimate ace with a 2.53 ERA and 182 strikeouts on the season, but even against elite arms, Chourio’s bat-to-ball skills and spot at the top of Milwaukee’s order make this closer to a layup than the price implies. Four or five plate appearances is a lot of runway for a hitter this good.

Brice Turang Has Yamamoto’s Number

Here’s the fun one. Brice Turang (MIL, #2, 2B) sits at Over -154 on 0.5 hits, and he’s already shown he can do damage against today’s opposing starter — Turang took Yamamoto deep in NLCS Game 1, a 102.5 mph blast that traveled 384 feet. That’s not just a moral victory; it’s evidence the matchup plays to his strengths.

Turang is hitting .270/.367/.452 this season with 21 home runs and 157 hits, numbers that make him one of the more underrated table-setters in this Brewers lineup. He’s also been scorching hot lately, going 11-for-39 with three doubles and three home runs over his last 10 games — a stretch that includes real thump, not just empty singles. Facing Yamamoto again after squaring him up once already, Turang getting on base is far from a stretch.

Jonny DeLuca’s Platoon Edge Is the Sneaky Play

Jonny DeLuca (TB, #21, RF/CF) is the name casual bettors will skip past, and that’s exactly why he belongs on this list. DeLuca is hitting .266/.300/.429 with 11 home runs across 370 plate appearances this season — pedestrian on the surface — but his splits tell a very different story depending on who’s on the mound.

Against left-handed pitching, DeLuca turns into a legitimately dangerous hitter, batting .281 with much more consistent contact than he manages against same-handed arms. Today’s matchup against a left-hander plays right into that strength, and recent form backs it up — DeLuca has gone over 0.5 hits in seven of his last 10 games and five straight before that stretch, averaging well above the current line. When the platoon advantage and the hot streak line up like this, it’s the kind of value spot that gets buried under bigger names on the board.
