3 MLB Best-of-the-Board Props to Back on October 15

Two playoff games, three props we love: a plus-money RBI for José Ramírez, Teoscar Hernández’s total bases, and a safe hit for Freddie Freeman.

Thursday’s MLB board is a two-course meal: a 1 p.m. ET ALCS Game 3 in Cleveland, moved up to dodge the rain, and an 8 p.m. ET NLCS Game 4 at Dodger Stadium. Two games, no filler, and plenty of prop menus to browse. We went through all of it and pulled the three bets that look the tastiest, regardless of prop type.

The setup is a good one. Cleveland and Tampa Bay are tied 1-1, with Griffin Jax making his first postseason start against Gavin Williams. In Los Angeles, the Dodgers are down 3-0 to a Brewers team that will lean on a bullpen game, with Tyler Glasnow on the other side. Here is where we are eating.

José Ramírez Over 0.5 RBI: Plus Money for the Guy Who Drives This Offense

Getting plus money on the best run producer in the Cleveland lineup is the kind of price we like to see on a game-day menu. Ramírez is posted around +245 to drive in at least one run in Game 3, though prices move, so check your book. He hit 12 home runs and 27 doubles this season, and he has been the engine of Cleveland’s October.

After starting 0-for-6 in the first two games of the Division Series against the White Sox, he went 5-for-12 with four extra-base hits, seven RBI and five runs over the final three games. He then opened the ALCS with a 3-for-5 night and an RBI single in Game 1. Game 2 was a rougher night, with a costly fourth-inning error in a 3-1 loss, which is exactly the kind of thing a veteran wants to answer for at home.

The matchup helps too. Jax went 8-10 this season but pitched in relief against the Yankees in the ALDS, so this is his first postseason start. A pitcher in a brand-new role against a switch-hitting third baseman who has seen everything is a spot worth a small bite at a plus-money price. Ramírez even has a home run line floating around +620 or better if you want to get spicy, but the RBI is the smarter plate.

Teoscar Hernández Over 1.5 Total Bases: Power Bat Against a Bullpen Game

Milwaukee has not named a starter for Game 4. Left-handers Kyle Harrison and Shane Drohan, right-hander Chad Patrick and Dustin May are all options, and the plan looks like a bullpen game. That means Hernández will likely see multiple arms in a single night, and a hitter with his pop gets more chances to find a pitch to drive.

The lines sit near even money to plus money. Total bases over 1.5 has been posted from roughly +100 up to +140 depending on the book, and the home run price is around +470. He averaged 1.5 total bases per game this season and hit .375/.444/.500 in seven regular-season games against Milwaukee, with a home run in that stretch. He needs a single and a double, or one long ball, to cash.

Context matters here as well. The Dodgers’ top of the order went a combined 1-for-11 in Game 3, and the team is 3-for-32 with runners in scoring position in the series. That is a slump, not a trend, and an elimination game at home is the kind of night a middle-of-the-order bat breaks out. If you prefer the safer route, check your book for the hits line instead, but the total bases number is where the value lives.

Freddie Freeman Over 0.5 Hits: The Veteran Safe Play

Every good board needs a comfort-food pick, and this is it. Freeman is listed at about -245 to record a hit in Game 4, so you are laying a real price, but the floor is high. He finished the regular season at .288/.362/.430, and he is a left-handed bat facing what is expected to be a parade of relievers and a spot starter rather than an established ace.

The recent log tells a mixed story, which is why we are comfortable. Over his last 10 games he averaged 0.7 hits, but he has still strung together multi-hit games in that stretch, including a 3-for-5 night in the Division Series. Hits lines on him have bounced between roughly -145 and -210 on game days, and the current number reflects how often he finds a way on base. Against a Brewers pen that has been nearly perfect, he is one of the few Dodgers who can work an at-bat deep enough to find a hole.

If the price feels heavy on its own, he is a natural anchor leg for a same game parlay, though we are keeping this card simple and straight.

Lock These In: Today’s Edge

Three bets, two games, zero fluff. Before you place anything, it pays to compare numbers, and the player prop search tool is a quick way to find the best price on each leg. Odds move quickly on game day, so always check your book for the latest line.

  • José Ramírez OVER 0.5 RBI (about +245)
  • Teoscar Hernández OVER 1.5 total bases (about +100 to +140, check your book)
  • Freddie Freeman OVER 0.5 hits (about -245)

Cleveland gets a plus-money run producer at home, Los Angeles gets two veteran bats in a must-win game, and you get a card with a little bit of everything. Bet responsibly and enjoy the playoffs.
