3 MLB Best Bets for Wednesday, May 31

We enjoyed a nice 3-0 sweep with our baseball selections yesterday. In the famous words of Hannibal from The A Team, "I love it when a plan comes together." The Mets started things off right for us by shutting out the Phillies 2-0.

The Reds tried their best to blow a big lead over the Red Sox, but they hung on for a nice +160 underdog win for us. The Padres completed the sweep with a powerful late rally over the Marlins.

It's a pretty SWEEP feeling (lol)! Here are 3 MLB Best Bets for Wednesday, May 31. Let's go!

Best Bet: Rangers (-142)

We like Texas to complete the sweep today over Detroit. The Tigers haven't been bad at home this season, but the Rangers are on a roll. They've won 8 of their last 10 ball games and they've outscored Detroit 15-6 over the first 2 games of the series.

We don't know who's going to start for the Tigers, but that doesn't matter that much to us. Dane Dunning will be getting the ball for Texas, and he's done a masterful job so far this season. The former Florida Gator is 4-0 with a 1.67 ERA and a WHIP of only 0.98.

The Rangers are also an offensive juggernaut, as they lead all of baseball in runs scored and batting average. Texas also ranks 2nd in OPS and 8th in homers. Even on the road, this price is way too generous on Texas. Lay the number!

Best Bet: Reds (+160)

Don't look now, but the Red Legs have won 4 in a row and 6 of their last 10! We cashed with them last night and the inflated price caught our eye once again this morning. As we said yesterday, Cincy is a feisty young squad that's going to play hard all year long.

One reason why we love the Reds tonight is because James Paxton will be starting for the Red Sox. Paxton is a lefty, and Cincy destroys lefties. The Reds are hitting .276 and scoring 5.96 runs per game against southpaws.

Luke Weaver will be starting for Cincinnati, and even though he scares us, he's done well of late. Weaver has an ERA of 2.81 over his last 3 starts. We'll bank on him keeping the Red Sox bats at bay tonight.

Best Bet: Yankees (+128)

Here's another price that doesn't make a lick of sense. The Yanks have been on fire at the plate recently, as they've scored 33 runs over their last 4 games. They've also went 4-0 during that span.

The Mariners have a nice ballclub, but they don't have enough offense to be this large of a favorite over the Yankees, even at home. Seattle will have the edge in starting pitching today, but that's about the only advantage they'll enjoy.

Reigning MVP Aaron Judge leads New York with 18 home runs and 39 RBI this season. We'll take a stab with the Boys in Pinstripes at this underdog price. Good luck!
