3 MLB Best Bets for Tuesday, May 30

We're fresh off a nice 2-1 night with our NBA props and ready to get right in baseball. Friday night was not kind to us. The Dodgers and Cardinals both went down in flames.

Thankfully, the Nats pulled it out late against the Royals to save us from the dreaded golden sombrero. That makes us 46-42 on the year. We ain't gettin' rich, but we're not going broke either!

Here are 3 MLB Best Bets for Tuesday, May 30. Let's cash some tickets! Best of luck with your bets!

Best Bet: Padres (+118)

Something just isn't right with Sandy Alcantara. The reigning Cy Young Award winner just hasn't been as sharp to start 2023. He's leaving way too many pitches out over the plate, which is why his ERA is a very UN-CY like 4.86 this season.

Alcantara will have to be careful tonight against Juan Soto, who is hitting .273 with 2 homers off of him in his career. Soto has been dealing with a sore back but is expected to play tonight in Miami. The Pads will counter with Ryan Weathers, who has an impressively low hard-hit rate of only 27.9%.

San Diego has struggled offensively, and that scares us a little bit. Nevertheless, we think the Padres have a significant advantage with their bullpen in this one. The wrong team is favored! Let's play the Pads!

Best Bet: Reds (+160)

This Reds team is a feisty group of young players, which is why we don't mind taking a flyer on them tonight in Beantown. Brayan Bello has some dynamic stuff, but he shouldn't be this high of a favorite just yet. TJ Friedl has homered off of Bello in only 3 career at-bats against him.

The 24-year-old righty has a WHIP of 1.44, which means he has the tendency to get wild at times. Bello's hard-hit rate is also a robust 48.6%, which is nearly 10% higher than the league average.

Cincy will send Ben Lively to the mound tonight, and he's done a masterful job so far this season. Lively's only started 2 games, but he's got an ERA of only 2.65 and a WHIP of only 0.88. None of the Reds Sox hitters have faced Lively in their careers, which should be a plus for Cincy.

Best Bet: Mets (-130)

We just can't figure this Mets team out. When we back them, they let us down, and when we fade them, they play great. Hopefully, we can reverse this trend tonight against the Phillies.

Philly will start Ranger Suarez, who has struggled to say the least this season. The young lefty has an ERA of 9.82 and a WHIP of 2.00. That should mean that guys like Pete Alonso and Francisco Lindor could have huge nights at the plate in this one.

While we aren't crazy about Mets starter Kodai Senga, he has been pretty solid this season. The young righty is 4-3 with an ERA of 3.94. We also trust the Mets bullpen a whole lot more than Philadelphia's. Lay the small number!
