3 MLB Best Bets for Friday, June 23

The D'Backs cashed our only best bet in baseball yesterday. Things were tight for a little while, but Ketel Marte broke things open with a 3-run bomb to put our minds at ease. That makes us 73-52 on the season!

Let's stay HOT with 3 MLB Best Bets for Friday, June 23. Have a fabulous Friday and an outstanding weekend, fellow sports bettors! Good luck!

Best Bet: Braves (-145)

Y'all know we love this Reds team, but this is a good time to sell them against a superior squad like the Braves. Cincy has won 11 straight but Atlanta has put together an 8-game winning streak of their own. We're getting a cheaper price on the Braves simply because of Cincy's winning streak.

As much as this Cincinnati team makes us smile, we simply cannot trust Luke Weaver against this loaded Atlanta lineup. Weaver's numbers are flat out ugly this season, as his ERA is 6.47 and his WHIP is 1.54. His ERA is near 5 lifetime against the Braves.

Austin Riley has homered twice off of Weaver in his career, while Ronald Acuna Jr. and Ozzie Albies each have 1 HR each off the young right-hander. Give us the Bravos at this reasonable price.

Best Bet: Mets (+107)

This is a tough spot for Philadelphia, as they lost to Atlanta in extra innings yesterday. That kind of loss can have a hangover effect for a day or two. Sure, the Mets have been bad to start the year, but our numbers have them favored in this game.

Taijuan Walker has pitched brilliantly of late for the Phillies, but Kodai Senga has a better ERA and more strikeouts. Senga has also pitched much better in night games than Walker. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that Senga pitched 7 shutout innings against the Phillies back on May 30th.

We also think the Mets have the slightly better bullpen in this matchup. Throw in the fact that Pete Alonso is back in the lineup with his 23 home runs, and we like the Metamucils quite a bit.

Best Bet: Angels (-149)

We've made a tidy profit fading the Rockies, and we'll keep riding that train tonight. Colorado has lost 14 of their last 17 and they don't match up well against the Angels. Los Angeles is only 21-19 on the road, but their lineup is much more dangerous than Colorado's.

Both of these lefties that are starting are pretty terrible. However, Patrick Sandoval has pitched much better than Kyle Freeland in night games (3.22 ERA vs 5.48 ERA). Brandon Drury and Hunter Renfroe have both homered off of Freeland in their careers.

The Angels also hit lefties much better than the Rockies. Los Angeles is hitting .256 and scoring 4.72 runs per game against southpaws. Colorado is only hitting .228 and scoring 3.41 runs per game against them. Drink the juice with the Halos!
