3 MLB Best Bets for Friday, June 2

After splitting a pair of MLB selections on Thursday night, we're ready to pick apart the card. The Diamondbacks came back from the dead to take down the Rockies in walk-off fashion. Unfortunately, the Reds outstanding run came to an end in the 8th inning against the Red Sox.

Today's card gives us a full slate of action. Here are 3 MLB Best Bets for Friday, June 2. Let's rock! Have a fantastic weekend, fellow sports investors!

Best Bet: Rangers (+102)

Luis Castillo is a stud, so it makes sense that he and the M's are the favorite in this game. That being said, we love getting the best hitting team (Texas) in baseball at an underdog price. The Rangers rank 1st in both runs scored and batting average. They also rank 2nd in OPS!

On the other hand, Seattle has been scuffling offensively. The Mariners rank 20th in runs and 28th in batting average. Jon Gray should be able to silence the M's bats. He hasn't given up more than 1 earned run since May 2nd.

Betting against Castillo scares us, but his hard-hit rate is currently 47.5% this season. That's a bit of a shocker for a true ace. We'll play the Rangers as a small underdog.

Best Bet: Rockies (+106)

Were the oddsmakers high when they set this line? Do they realize that Jordan Lyles is starting for the Royals? He may be the worst pitcher in all of baseball, as his ERA is 11.68 over his last 3 starts.

The Rockies dropped a heartbreaker to the D'Backs yesterday, but their lineup should still be able to feast off of Lyles. Randal Grichuk, Mike Moustakas, and Ryan McMahon have all homered off of Lyles in their big-league careers.

Charlie Blackmon is also back in the lineup for Colorado after missing a few games due to bereavement. We hate that CJ Cron and Kris Bryant are both on the injured list, but the Rockies bats are still far superior to the Royals. Take the plus money with the better team.

Best Bet: Dodgers F5 (-128)

This should be a fun series featuring the 2 most iconic franchises in MLB history! The starting pitching matchup should be a good one, with Luis Severino facing Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw has been struggling of late, but he's still 6-4 on the year with an ERA of 3.32.

Severino has pitched beautifully since coming back from a lat injury. The young Yankee righty has a WHIP of only 0.79 in 11.1 innings of work. However, Severino could have his hands full with this Dodgers lineup.

Max Muncy leads the club with 17 homers and 40 RBI. Freddie Freeman was on fire during the whole month of May and he's currently hitting .346. Los Angeles is scoring 5.74 runs per game against right-handers. The Yanks are only batting .220 versus lefties.

We don't play many First Five wagers, but we're doing so in this spot. The Yankees have a huge edge over the Dodgers with their bullpen. We'll play the Boys in Blue for the First 5 innings.
