For the first time, future NFL Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers will face the team that helped cement his legendary status when the Green Bay Packers (4-1-1) visit the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2).

Green Bay hasn’t lost a contest since dropping a wild 13-10 decision to the Cleveland Browns over a month ago. Since that upset, the Packers have tied the Dallas Cowboys and beaten both the Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals by margins under 10 points.

With Rodgers under center, the Steelers had posted three straight victories before dropping a 33-31 decision to the Bengals during last week’s Thursday Night Football matchup.

We’re calling this the Rodgers Bowl. Can his replacement pull off a victory on the road against Pittsburgh? We’ll cover that and provide bettors with our top three player props for this Sunday Night Football primetime game.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers OVER 218.5 Passing Yards

After a two-year stint in New York, the Steelers lured Rodgers into Pittsburgh for the promise of one more Super Bowl run. The 41-year-old hasn’t disappointed this season, completing 68.6 percent of his passes for 1,270 yards, 14 touchdowns, and only five interceptions.

Will the weight of playing his former team be a burden on him? NBC’s crew will focus on Rodgers’ every move Sunday night, and he’ll likely be mic’d up for television viewers to see his interactions with his former team.

Perhaps nerves will get to Rodgers on the opening drive, but the veteran will take care of business Sunday night. Expect him to throw for more than 220 yards on Sunday, covering this player prop bet.

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love OVER 237.5 Passing Yards

Now, let’s take a look at the other sideline. Packers quarterback Jordan Love was Rodgers’ hand-picked successor, and he has performed a step above the veteran in 2025. Entering the game, Love is completing 69 percent of his passes for 1,438 yards, 10 touchdowns, and only two picks.

On Sunday, he’ll face a Steelers defense that has surrendered an average of 282 passing yards in six games. Four of Pittsburgh’s six opponents have thrown for more than 260 yards, giving bettors confidence that Love will become the next player to achieve this mark.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR D.K. Metcalf OVER 60.5 Receiving Yards

Rodgers isn’t the only new face in Pittsburgh this season. The Steelers finally found a big-play receiver, trading Seattle for D.K. Metcalf’s services. He’s not disappointed in his first season with the AFC North squad, leading his new team in receptions (22), receiving yards (406), and receiving touchdowns (4).

Metcalf has also led the Steelers in receiving yards in three games thus far. Can he continue his solid play against Green Bay? The simple answer is yes. On Sunday, he’ll add another strong performance to his resume, finishing with at least 61 yards to cover his player prop bet.

Best Bet: Green Bay (-3)

Rodgers won Green Bay its fourth Super Bowl in 2010, and he took the squad to multiple NFC Championship games during his 18-year tenure with the Packers. The veteran isn’t providing his former team with any bulletin board material, hinting at Sunday’s matchup as just another game.

The reality is that this game means something to him. It also holds significance for his former teammates. Green Bay needs to win to keep pace with the Detroit Lions, and doing so over Rodgers would be icing on the cake. The Packers are the better team, and they should cover the three-point spread on Sunday Night in Pittsburgh.
