Boomer’s Sportsbook will open a race and sportsbook at the Silver Sevens Hotel and Casino just east of the Las Vegas Strip on June 1, following Nevada Gaming Control Board approval at a special Thursday session. The new location replaces William Hill after Affinity Gaming, which owns Silver Sevens, ended its arrangement with the international book as part of a strategic effort to grow its sports wagering business. It is the 13th location approved for Boomer’s since the regional operator launched in August 2025.
Boomer’s CEO Joe Asher, a veteran of the US sportsbook market who spent years building William Hill’s American operations before the brand was acquired by Caesars, has positioned the company as a locals-friendly alternative to the major national sportsbooks that dominate the Las Vegas Strip. Silver Sevens, on the corner of Flamingo and Paradise roads, serves a blend of local residents and visitors near the Convention Center, Park Towers condominiums, and the construction site for the upcoming Athletics ballpark.
Boomer’s Expansion Plans
Silver Sevens will be the 12th operational Boomer’s location, with Club Fortune in North Las Vegas still under renovation. Seven additional applications are pending with the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Asher said the company aims to have 18 locations open by the start of the NFL season in September, an aggressive pace that would make Boomer’s one of the most widely distributed retail sportsbook brands in the state in under two years of operation.
The Silver Sevens sportsbook will feature seven betting kiosks, reflecting the property’s strong kiosk usage among locals who prefer quick parlay-style wagers. Affinity Gaming CEO Scott Butera said Silver Sevens has been making a series of upgrades, including 200 new slot machines and a new Denny’s, as the company works to broaden its customer appeal.
Boomer’s offers a matched deposit bonus up to $250 for new sign-ups and has run team-specific promotions tied to local Las Vegas sports. A current Vegas Golden Knights promo provides a free $10 bet when the Knights score in the first period. “We’re the only sportsbook offering that promotion,” Asher said.
A Competitive Nevada Market
Nevada’s retail sportsbook landscape has been under pressure from high-margin mobile platforms, but the Silver Sevens deal suggests there is still room for locally-focused operators who can offer competitive pricing and community-oriented promotions. For bettors in Las Vegas and Nevada looking at their options, the Boomer’s expansion adds another accessible location to a market that has historically been dominated by large casino resorts. Nevada bettors can compare available options at Nevada sportsbooks for a full breakdown of where to bet in the state.
