NFL DFS Lineup Week 2 - FanDuel $2.5M Sunday Million

Starting the season off with a money-making DFS lineup is a promising sign. We cashed toward the tail end of the winning positions in FanDuel’s marquee Week 1 lineup contest, and we’ve circled back to play another round this Sunday.

The lineup below represents our selections for the $2.5M Sunday Million contest that kicks off with the 1 pm matchups this weekend.

Quarterback: Jared Goff ($7,300)

Goff looked the part of a starting quarterback for a division favorite in Detroit’s road win at Kansas City in Week 1. The fantasy numbers didn’t jump off the page, but he avoided turnovers and surpassed 250 passing yards.

The Lions face the Seahawks at home in Week 2, a rematch of a game in 2022 where Goff tossed four touchdowns and threw for 378 yards.

Running Backs: Bijan Robinson ($8,100) & Ken Walker III ($6,700)

Robinson fell victim to a pair of vultured touchdowns in Week 1 and was out-carried by Tyler Allgeier in his pro debut.

We’re undeterred in selecting him for our DFS lineup this week, given his ten carries, 5.6-yard rushing average, and team-leading six catches. Robinson scored his first touchdown as a Falcon and displayed the first-round grade he received at draft time.

Ken Walker also reached 16 touches in his team’s opener, accruing most of his yardage on the ground. He turned 12 carries into 64 yards and is primed for a big day at a modest cap number against an improved but vulnerable Lions’ defense.

Wide Receivers: Amon-Ra St. Brown ($8,100), Nico Collins ($6,200) & Jahan Dotson ($6,100)

St. Brown had the misfortune of missing the shootout between Detroit and Seattle in 2022, and Goff leaned on TJ Hockenson (12 targets) and Josh Reynolds (eight targets) in his absence. The team’s top receiver last season displayed his hands and route-running against the Chiefs in Week 1 and should be set for another healthy dose of targets at home this Sunday.

Collins was the favored receiver for rookie CJ Stroud in the Texans’ first game of the season, seeing a career-high 11 targets and snagging six passes for 80 yards against Baltimore. He appears to be the pass-catcher who will draw Houston's top DB matchup each week and puts that designation to the test against the Colts this weekend.

During Washington's victory over Arizona, Dotson was second on the team in targets and tied with Curtis Samuel for the team lead in receptions. New starter Sam Howell had a modest game against a weak defense, but we’re focusing on Dotson being a priority when healthy, especially near the painted turf.

Tight End: Logan Thomas ($4,900)

Speaking of a high volume of targets relative to his teammates, Thomas led the Commanders with eight on Sunday and converted four into catches for 43 yards.

The team faces a Broncos secondary that allowed 7.7 yards per pass attempt to Jimmy Garoppolo and the Raiders last week, and we also have a feeling Thomas could add a touchdown to his box score if things go well.

Flex: Stefon Diggs ($8,000)

Diggs is still who we thought he was, despite an offseason that raised doubts about whether he would be in a Bills uniform for the long term.

He was targeted 13 times by Josh Allen, while the next closest player saw six, and caught his first touchdown of the season among his 10 receptions on the day.

We have no reservations about trotting him out at home against Las Vegas next week.

Defense: Dallas ($4,500)

The Cowboys’ defense was probably the best unit on either side of the ball among all NFL teams in Week 1. Their fantasy score was buoyed by a pair of touchdowns, but their numbers were also dominant.

Dallas forced three turnovers, sacked Daniel Jones seven times, and allowed 2.6 yards per play. They’ll face Zach Wilson and the Jets offense in Week 2.
