It’s been a successful first third of the season for our DFS bankroll and we feel good about our chances to build on that success in Week 6.
The lineup below represents our selections for FanDuel’s $1.4M NFL Sunday Million contest ahead of this weekend’s action. Let's get into it!
Dobbs’s numbers are middle of the road this season across the board, both on the field and in fantasy lineups.
He’s been effective at limiting turnovers and avoiding sacks and outperformed expectations in matchups against Dallas and San Francisco.
The Rams are allowing a score on 43.1% of opponents’ drives this season, and Dobbs could be a cheap option at QB that still gets to 20 fantasy points for us.
Etienne has carried the ball more than anyone in the AFC and trails only Christian McCaffrey among NFL players this season.
He’s one of four in addition to CMac, Josh Jacobs, and Tony Pollard who have 80+ rushing attempts and at least 20 targets in 2023, and had over 100 total yards and a touchdown against Indy in Week 1.
Alvin Kamara has returned to the Saints lineup at the perfect time to gobble up touches for a team needing offense. He’s fourth in the NFL in touches since his first snap in Week 4, with 49 in two games, and has a friendly matchup against Houston in Week 6.
Thielen is ninth in targets in the NFL this year and has the highest catch rate of any of the top 50 targeted pass-catchers in the league. His 78.8 yards per game would be Thielen's most in a season since 2018, and he is thriving in the top role for the Panthers passing attack.
Speaking of players in the featured role, Jordan Addison has the opportunity to establish himself as a viable #1 target for the duration of Justin Jefferson’s IR stint.
Tight end TJ Hockenson has seen 11 passes in his direction in two games since getting that many in Week 3 alone, and Addison is firmly in competition for the majority of Kirk Cousins’ throws.
For Downs, Week 5 was nearly his first 100-yard game as a pro while he led the Colts in receiving yards and trailed only Michael Pittman Jr. in targets. He got seven looks in his NFL debut against Jacksonville in Week 1 and should get there again this Sunday despite a cheap cap number.
Engram is one of four players with an active streak of four games or more with eight targets.
While he still hasn’t found the endzone during that time, his consistent role in the Jags’ offense is a welcome addition to our lineup at this price.
Kupp immediately saw 12 targets during his season debut in Week 5, and his quarterback seems intent on throwing the ball as much as necessary to keep the Rams competitive.
Matthew Stafford is one pass attempt behind Kirk Cousins for the league lead, and if he continues to average well above 35 passes per game, we love Kupp’s chances to maintain a dozen or so looks every time he sees the field.
That includes this week, where we’ll roll with Kupp against the Cardinals at home.
Washington’s defense struggled through a problematic back-to-back stretch against Buffalo and Philadelphia, and those poor results extended into a Thursday night drubbing at the hands of the Bears.
They are still top five in sacks and 7th in pressure rate this season, and if a matchup with Desmond Ridder and Atlanta doesn’t have a different result, it could spell much more significant problems for the Commanders.
Ridder has been sacked on 9.3% of his dropbacks this season, 25th in the league.
