Twelve games on the NHL docket is the kind of Saturday that makes a hockey bettor want to clear the calendar, order something greasy, and pretend the laundry doesn’t exist. We combed the board for the three props that stand out most, and they come from three different corners of the card: a prime-time goal scorer in St. Paul, a power-play specialist at a matinee in Nashville, and a veteran winger who just woke up on Long Island.
No theme here, no forced narrative. These are the best prices and best situations we found across the goals and points markets, with real numbers behind each one. Grab your snacks and let’s get into it.
Matt Boldy Anytime Goal Scorer (+165): Wild Winger Is Overdue and Fairly Priced
Minnesota hosts Tampa Bay at 8:00 PM ET, and Matt Boldy is the Wild skater we like most at plus money. He has 7 goals and 10 assists for 17 points through 17 games, and he is a constant shooting threat, firing 7 shots on goal against San Jose on Friday and topping six shots in several other games this season. The goals have run a little cold lately, with his last one coming Oct. 29 against the Islanders, which means the shot volume has outpaced the finish.
The role is the real selling point. Boldy is playing 19 to 22 minutes a night and getting power-play time in every game, including nearly five minutes with the man advantage on Nov. 3 in Philadelphia and more than five on Friday. The Lightning are a good team at 10-3-2, but Andrei Vasilevskiy carries a .879 save percentage in 11 appearances this season, which opens the door for a shooter of Boldy’s caliber.
At +165 the implied chance is roughly 38 percent, while the Dimers model puts him at about 40 percent to score. That slim gap is exactly the kind of edge you want in an anytime goal market. If you want to see how that +165 converts into a probability, our odds explainer walks through the math.
Jake Neighbours OVER 0.5 Points (+115): A Power-Play Role at Plus Money
The Blues visit Nashville for a 1:00 PM ET matinee, and Jake Neighbours is the sneaky piece on the St. Louis side. He has 4 goals and 4 assists for 8 points in 15 games, and all four of his goals have come on the power play. He is a regular on the first power-play unit, and he has a point in three of his last four games, including an assist in Thursday’s 5-4 overtime loss to New Jersey.
St. Louis erased a three-goal deficit in that game, and the matchup with Nashville has been kind to the Blues’ man advantage. They have scored a power-play goal in four straight games against the Predators, going 4-for-12 on the power play over that stretch. That trend matters when your prop player lives on the top unit.
Juuse Saros is expected to be in net for Nashville, and he is a legitimate roadblock, but the price is the point here. Over 0.5 points at +115 pays you more than even money, and it needs only one goal or one assist. For a player getting first-unit power-play minutes, that is a number we are happy to take.
Anthony Mantha OVER 0.5 Points (+160): Hot Hand in a Spot Worth Backing
New Jersey visits the Islanders at 7:00 PM ET, and Anthony Mantha arrives on a heater. He scored twice on three shots and added an assist in Thursday’s overtime win over St. Louis, and he has four goals and three assists over his last seven games. For the season he has 5 goals and 4 assists in 16 games, mostly from a third-line role.
The price is the attraction. DraftKings has Mantha at +160 to record a point, while the Dimers model puts the true probability near 46 percent, a meaningful edge for a veteran who already has two multi-point games this season. Last season in Pittsburgh he posted 33 goals and 31 assists, so the offensive ability is not a mystery, and he is streaking right now.
Ilya Sorokin is the likely starter for the Islanders and he is strong, with a .911 save percentage, but the Islanders have dropped consecutive games in regulation and the Devils are rolling at 11-5-0 since adding Connor Hellebuyck. New Jersey is on the front end of a back-to-back, so keep an eye on the lineup card. You can also browse other markets with the player prop search to see how books are pricing him.
Lock These In: Saturday’s Best of the Board
Three different games, three different markets, and three players with a real path to cashing. Boldy is the goal-scoring play with volume behind him, Neighbours is the power-play points play, and Mantha is the hot-hand play at a fat price. Always shop around, because lines move throughout the day.
