New York City now has table games

For decades, New York City casino players who wanted live table games had one option: leave the state. That changed on April 28, 2026, when Resorts World New York City officially opened the first live table game floor in the history of the five boroughs. If you have been waiting for blackjack dealt by a human dealer, a real craps table with a stick person, or a roulette wheel you can watch spin in person, the wait is over — and you can get there by subway.

What Is Open Right Now at Resorts World Queens

Resorts World New York City sits on 72 acres adjacent to Aqueduct Racetrack in Jamaica, Queens, and the property has operated slot machines and electronic table games since 2011. The April 28 opening added something entirely new: a reimagined third floor with 242 live table games and more than 2,500 new commercial slot machines spread across the second and third floors.

The live table game selection covers the four core casino games. Blackjack is the centerpiece, alongside craps, baccarat, and roulette. Across those 242 tables, the floor offers more than 1,500 individual gaming positions, giving players plenty of options at peak times. The slot offering, already one of the largest in the region, has expanded alongside the table game launch with 2,507 new machines added as part of the commercial casino conversion.

The property also offers on-site dining through RW Prime, the casino’s restaurant that serves East-meets-West cuisine and handcrafted cocktails seven days a week. For players making a night of it, the dining option sits inside the casino complex, so there is no need to leave between sessions.

Getting In: Age, ID, and the Rewards Program

Entry to the gaming floor requires guests to be at least 21 years old with a valid government-issued photo ID or passport. There is no cover charge or reservation required to walk in and play.

Resorts World runs a free loyalty program called Genting Rewards. Players can sign up at the Genting Rewards counter on-site. The membership card tracks play at slot machines, electronic table games, and now live table games, and accrues points that can be redeemed for free slot play and food and beverage offers. Players who want to earn points at the live table games need to present their Genting Rewards card to table games management to have their play rated. The program has five tiers — Red, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Black — with Silver starting at 2,500 tier points, Gold at 10,000, and Platinum at 25,000.

Getting to the property is straightforward for most New Yorkers. The casino is accessible via the A train to Aqueduct-North Conduit Avenue station, and by car via the Van Wyck Expressway. If you have been practicing blackjack strategy ahead of making your first trip, the table minimums and rules will be posted at each game.

The Full RWNYC Buildout: What Is Still Coming

The 242 tables and 2,500-plus slot machines represent only phase one of a much larger transformation. When Resorts World received its full commercial casino license from the New York State Gaming Commission in December 2025, the approved expansion plan called for a $5.5 billion investment across the 72-acre site. The completed property is eventually slated to feature up to 800 live table games, 6,000 slot machines across a 500,000-square-foot gaming floor, 2,000 hotel rooms, and a 7,000-seat entertainment venue. Resorts World has indicated that additional gaming positions and amenities will continue to come online throughout 2026 and beyond as construction progresses.

Hard Rock Metropolitan Park: The $8 Billion Casino Next to Citi Field

The second major casino coming to Queens is Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Metropolitan Park, a partnership between Hard Rock International — owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida — and New York Mets owner Steve Cohen. The $8.1 billion project will be built on approximately 50 acres of Citi Field parking lots in Flushing, and it received its gaming license from the New York State Gaming Commission on December 15, 2025.

Construction began in early 2026, with heavy site work underway by April 1, including road realignment, utility relocation, and foundation work. When the project opens, it is designed to include a casino floor of 286,208 square feet with 5,000 slot machines, 375 live-dealer tables, and an 18,381-square-foot sportsbook and bar. The resort will also include a 1,000-room hotel tower, a Hard Rock Live concert venue, a Taste of Queens food hall, and a 25-acre public park. The target grand opening is June 30, 2030.

Unlike Resorts World, which is a conversion of an existing facility, Metropolitan Park is a ground-up build. Hard Rock has not indicated plans for any early partial opening before the full complex is complete. If you want to follow the broader New York sportsbooks landscape while the casino build plays out, legal mobile betting has been available in the state since January 2022.

Bally’s Bronx: A $4 Billion Casino at Ferry Point

The third license awarded in December 2025 went to Bally’s Corporation for a casino resort at Ferry Point in the Bronx. The $4 billion project will be built from the ground up and is also targeted for a 2030 opening. When completed, Bally’s Bronx is designed to include a 500,000-square-foot gaming floor with approximately 5,000 slot machines and around 375 table games, a 23-story hotel with 1,000 rooms, a convention and event center, and more than 100,000 square feet of restaurants, bars, and retail. Like Hard Rock, Bally’s has not announced plans for a phased or early partial opening ahead of the full buildout.

Both Bally’s Bronx and Metropolitan Park are expected to generate thousands of permanent jobs in addition to large-scale construction workforces. For NYC-area craps online players who have been waiting for a nearby live alternative, 2030 is still the realistic timeline for either of those properties.

What This Means for NYC Casino Players Right Now

The practical reality for casino players in the New York metro area is clear. Resorts World Queens is the only venue in the city with live table games, and it is open today. Hard Rock Metropolitan Park and Bally’s Bronx have licenses and construction underway, but both are four-plus years away from opening. For the foreseeable future, if you want to sit down at a blackjack table or throw dice in New York City, Jamaica, Queens is the place to do it.
